hmm... sounds like a good idea, i think ill try that tonight. what really winds me down is excersizing before i go to sleep. anybody else here like to do something to help them sleep?
Well, last night I decided to try out another idea of mine (or at least I think it's mine)
Before bed I wound myself down by watching some TV (it works really well for me) and then turned it off after about 20 minutes and laid down on my back.
I practiced some HI and after I started seeing some vivid images I told myself "If the next time I am standing up is not in my room, then I am dreaming" and I told myself that over and over and gave myself several reasons why that is and kept it up for 7-10 minutes.
Later that night I had a very long lucid dream (but I don't remember it because it's a school night and I had to wake up fast and didn't concentrate enough on the dream)
Has anyone else done this? Questions? Comments?
~Lance
PS: I tried blinking in the dream and when I did, my entire scenery shifted from being out on a street in daylight to standing in my room at night. I suggest trying it

Hmm yeah, good idea. A bit of a variation of other things out there, but still requires quite a bit of concentration... Which is sometimes hard when you're lying comfortable in bed, sleepy as hell![]()
Thank you for the positive replies

It makes sense...self suggestion is very powerfull and usefull when it comes to lucid dreams...
Use whatever techinique works best for you...
If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
