Asking about Heaven

I had a task- it was to talk to inanimate object and ask about Heaven. I have been trying for a week and it finally happened.

I found myself in my living room playing with my daughter AA and then I saw another little girl that was identical to AA and then I knew I was in a dream. I did a reality check and told my self if this was not real I would be able to float- and I could. Then I grabbed the little girl and looked into her eyes and said -you are not AA your not my child. I asked who are you? This made it squirm and try to get away, I held on tighter and asked again who are you? Then when it couldn't get away it tried to morph on me and turn into something demonic. I just laughed at it and said -don't bother, your not real and it doesn't scare me anymore, who are you?- it didn't seem to know or be able to answer. I let go and told it to go away. It did by floating up through the ceiling to another part of the house. Then I told myself - if I am lucid now I can ask an object about Heaven. I picked up AA's Sponge Bob ball and asked it what Heaven was like, it did not answer- I guess I wasn't suprised. I asked it a few more times and then let it fall to the ground. I decided that I would find out for my self and I floated up through my ceiling and flew up and out towards scenery that was not familiar. As I flew the fields, mountains and river became increasingly bathed in a beautiful light like a sunrise. Where I had come from was almost Grey in comparison. I began to sing praises to God and my voice was beautiful (definitely not my real voice) and then everything was singing and reverberating this magnificent sound. I could see towns and even they were singing all in this one beautiful voice. I woke up.
I have to be honest I am disappointed that my object did not talk to me- I think this is my fault I believe it is because I am so trained to think that it wouldn't be possible that it wasn't. Yet I am able to fly and that isn't so called possible either, but I do it as if I have always done it and it is totally natural. -I need to work on this. Another thing is that I feel that telling the DC it wasn't real was rude on my part - how do I know if it is or isn't? I did it more out of fear than anything- I hate it when they morph into something scary and I wanted to be in control. How do I have better results?

Our dream are technikly heaven so heaven in a dream is not much more of an experience than being on the ground...

Anyways, I guess next time, when it morphes you could talk to it sweetly and say "I am in a dream. You might be real but I ain't so if you kill me I don't actually die, therefore I am not scared of you. Go play somewhere else pleaze or if you want follow me but stay nice"

For the object problem, try to give them a face so it would be easier for them to talk. Per exemple, oh yeah, sponge bob does have a face... Maybe you should make that face 3D. So you would turn the ball in a way you couldn't see the face and then just make it obvious that when you turn it back there will be a 3d mouth that can talk and than turn knowing that there will be a 3d mouth than it will be easier for you to believe that the ball can talk. That could be a good transition.

Heaven is just a state of consciousness -_-. So yes, you can experience it, just like you can experience depression.

Sorry, I meant, that when we are LDing, we are conscious and we have no limits so we are technakely already experiencing whatever you could find over the clouds in a dream. THat's why being told would represent more... if you get what I mean. Anyways, this is my opinion.

I had a nonlucid about heaven. It was all stereotypical with skyscrapers on clouds. It even had a subway line. Thing is, I don't believe in heaven.

We're not having a debate if heaven exists or not... The debate actually is more about what is more interresting in a dream, to go in heaven or to be told what it is like?

It wasn't actually about whether or not going to Heaven or being told about it was better- I was relaying that I had been given the task to ask an inanimate object about Heaven. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get an answer out of my object but I don't believe that I saw Heaven(If I had it would have been indescribable I am sure)- even though I may have heard Angels or something spiritual as far as the singing. It wasn't actually a spiritual debate at all. I was rather asking for some guidance in how to delve deeper into the spirituality of my dreams and to stop limiting myself based on my waking beliefs -such as there is gravity so I can't fly etc etc...Well I can fly and very well in my dreams but I cant talk to my DCs and get anything out of them. I'd like to change that. But thank you for all of your thoughts.

I know, I meant that the debate that had started which hadn't been started by you and that is not really a debate. Anyways, I stick to the fact that you may try to add a 3D mouth to that object. I think it would be good for you to go by small steps. That comes from a newbie XD

A lot of it is just practice, I'm afraid. Practice and confidence. As you suspected, this "failure" to make an object speak to you stems from your own routine and expectation in the waking world that an inanimate object is not alive and therefore cannot speak. However, you'll reach the point where you Understand that in your mind, anything is possible. It's is very similar to the "there is no spoon" concept from The Matrix.

I like that you likened it to the "there is no spoon" theory of the Matrix that is easier to grasp I think put that way.

What are the matrix about? I've heard lots of people talk about it on this forum. Those it have to do with anything about dreams? (LDs)

The Matrix is a movie with Keanue Reeves and Lawrence Fishburn. Actually I think it is a trilogy and then a cartoon too I don't know for sure. If you haven't seen the Matrix you will love it being interested in Lucid dreaming. It isn't about Lucid dreaming. Here if the synopsis-

In the near future, Computer hacker Neo is contacted by underground freedom fighters who explain that reality as he understands it is actually a complex computer simulation called the Matrix. Created by a malevolent Artificial Intelligence, the Matrix hides the truth from humanity, allowing them to live a convincing, simulated life in 1999 while machines grow and harvest people to use as an ongoing energy source. The leader of the freedom fighters, Morpheus, believes Neo is "The One" who will lead humanity to freedom and overthrow the machines. shannyball: Any answers you get back from your dreams, on how heaven is like, will be your own creations from your mind. The only way your going to find out what heaven is like is if you have a out of body experience and talk to someone who has died and went there, or you die and go there first hand. I don't recommend dieing

I've actually been working on it some more and I've asked a DC if Heaven is real -( I know it is at least to me, I wanted to see what it would say.) It said Yes, but not like you think it is. I've also asked a DC if they dream, she said yes, then I asked if she was real and she said no, then I asked how she could dream if she wasn't real and the dream began fading.
