    Can u still dream normally?

I've always wanted 2 try lucid dreaming, but I'm afraid that if I do,I'll have them every night and won't b able to have dreams that I can't control anymore, which I wouldn't like at all. So,does anyone here know if I can do both, lucid and regular dreaming on and off

Welcome to the forum. We hope that you enjoy your stay. Actually, I think that it is very cool to have LDs every night. You don't really have to control a Dream for it to be a LD. You just have to know that you are dreaming, that is all!

Exactly, they can be just like your non-lucid dreams if you just go along with the ride, the only difference being you know you're not awake. Sometimes going along with the ride can make you non-lucid if you get real distracted, so you can try that if you don't wanna be lucid, lol.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone who'd never lucid dreamed before, trying to lucid dream and then having them every night unable to have non-lucid dreams. (I only wish that would happen to me)

I believe the majority of us regularly have non-lucid dreams and try to have lucid ones more often.

nesgirl, welcoming is done by dreamguides trough PM's.
If you want to welcome new people do it when they post in Newbie Zone, not clutter up threads with off-topci posts in other forums.

    Now in reply to sundial:
I really doubt that you'll LD every night or be lucid in every dream cycle, so you really dont have to worry about that. I think you should be worrying about having an LD at all instead of having too many.

Sundial, I'm afraid it will be the other way around. Once you experience a LD- you'll never want to have a regular one.

But honestly, you have nothing to worry about. Even the most experienced LDer, will find it a challenge to LD every single day or night.

Try it- I'm sure you'll love it. Sweet dreams.

Yea you would have to be a better lucid dreamer than everyone here. Some of them have been practicing for a long time too. Then if you did happen to get that good, it doesn't matter because there are ways to dream normally again.

I don't think you will have to worry about it

Most people average at most a few LDs a week. If you consider that you have about 4 dreams a night, then that works out to 3 in 28 being lucid or about 1 in 9.

I ageee with you, although lucid dreams are so amazing, it is nice to just have some great adventures in non-lucid dreams!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...
