Aw nice Crash! Congrats, at least on being conscious enough to do a reality check!
Next time, try the red [b]Shasta instead!

My first (since I've been attempting to LD) lucid dream was caused by cans of grape soda.
I woke up this morning around sunrise, the sky was very orange, and I realized I was late for my dentist's appointment. I walked over to my desk and on it I saw my cell phone and a pyramid stack of Grape Soda. Usually in my dreams I would find this rather normal, but this time was different. For some reason I realized I drank the last of the grape soda the day before and I realized it was rather strange that they were stacked in a pyramid shape. I did a reality test. I tried to read the title written on the cover of a book on the table. The title kept changing and I was unable to read it.
I was sure that I was dreaming. So I took a step away from the table to look around my room. But soon the world started to fade to white (probably because of my excitement) and gradually:
I
Fell
Into
Another
Dream.
But I'm not sad, I got to be lucid for a few seconds.

Schweet! Having sufficient consiousness to realize that you're dreaming is the first, hardest, and most significant step in a succesful DILD. Keep at it, and you'll get some awsome rewards. 8)
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

Dreaming that a tooth of mine was loose, pulled it out - then all my other teeth were loose as well. Figured I was dreaming. Did TWO reality checks:
1) Checked my dream check bracelet (an RC method I came up with)
2) Jumped up to see if I could levitate or fly
BOTH failed!! WTF is up with that??!! I guess it's more important that you actually BELIEVE you're dreaming - or else reality checks fail!
