I flew today

Wow!

I was napping and I was going back and forth between semi-conscious and asleep. I was lying on my belly and then I fell asleep but without blanking out first, so in the dream I was kind of lying on the ledge of a balcony at my Uni feeling as if I was going to go over and fall down. I was actually afraid of falling off the balcony, so afraid that I told myself this couldn't be happening, and that's when I realized it was a dream.

So I started slowly rolling over the ledge. I thought of trying to fly but then thought I shouldn't bother because it probably wouldn't work. First I tried to make myself feel heavier, and then for some reason I tried the opposite and I felt like I was starting to levitate. I kept at it and then I started taking off.

I was so excited! I was screaming at the top of my lungs and at the same time wondering what else I could do. Then I think I started loosing my concentration as I felt the dream wearing off. It kinda ended abruptly and I slowly started feeling my real body coming back online.

It was weird but great for a few seconds.

Nothing wrong with letting out a good long yell when you become airborne! Congrats man, flying is one of the coolest lucid activities!

Yeah congrats!!

Napping is awesome! It's one of those sure fire ways for me to go lucid. And of course, flying is something that occurs in about 90% of my lucids. It's so fun. Try flying upsidedown...it's an even greater rush!! Begin by flying superman style, stretched out, then roll over sideways so that your chest is facing up toward the clouds and lean your head back....wow! It's crazy.

I don't think it's the first time Ive flown in a dream but I think it's the first time I was lucid and did it out of my own will.

I have only once flied...in a ND...it was MARVELLOUS!!

When I woke up ...i was crying (internally) as it was my first time i Flied.

It is great to fly...congratualtions.

In a LD Anytime I try to fly...I end up falling onto potatoes

Yeh i always talk to my friends about the dreams i have and they must be like naturally lucid dreamers or sumthing and wen im like " i had a lucid dream last night!" they're like so...we hav them all the time, my friend said to me he flies in his and it feels mad but dont last long, and told me to try and fly next time i become lucid" so yeh, good on ya man...i want to now!

Good!

Now for the details that will perfect your ability. First, never fly like Superman. It is most undignified to be dragging one's dick across the sky, and besides, it is inefficient and will be having you fly most low and slow. the superior posture for Levitation and Flying is the Magic Carpet Position, or the Lotus Position. One need not get on the ground first, but just simply cross your legs up where you stand. This will tighten you up into a nice little Ball of Energy that can zoop to great altitudes and shoot along for great distances, leaving the Supermen Types as though they are standing still.

Dream Meditation is also so much more effective from the Lotus Position. It is as though the legs are a great drag upon one's Energy System and need to be folded up when not explicitly in use, and in Dreams and Meditation, what use could legs possibly be?

leo volont ive never thought of flying like superman as being disgraceful buy you make a good point. flying like superman is the equvilant of a dog rubbing its ass against the carpet it seems.
