      My first lucid dream that I actually remembered!

      I had this dream the other day, Tuesday I think, during my afternoon nap:
      It was a dream within a dream. In my dream's dream, I was trying to get away from my mom, who was coming after me with a stick of some kind. There were several short stairways around me, and every time I tried to run up one, I didn't have the energy to step on the last step. Finally, I turned to face my mom. I was thinking that I knew it was a dream, so I said it out loud and asked my mom who she was. Then it was like I could control what happened. I made her move out of my way and drop the stick. The stick was floating, and I could move it with my mind. Then I woke up into my dream, and I was thinking why didn't I find a lightswitch or a mirror? Then I was talking to my older sister, and when she talked back to me, something was wrong. I woke up for real and found out it was because she had just gotten home and was talking to me for real. Weird, huh?

      neato! ...tho that first dream sounded symbolic if you ask me...and it sounds like you had a false awakening...thats where you're in a dream, then you wake up, but you're really still dreaming...confusing huh?

      Congrats on your first lucid dream! Also, the symbolism in the first dream is pretty simple to figure out if you ask me. Don't piss off your mom or she'll chase you around the house with a big stick.

      Hehe, she does that enough already, and I'm stupid enough to run. One time I ran outside and hid under our van...
      anyways, that wasn't my first lucid dream, just the first that I remember so well. In some other dreams that I remember, I've done/said things that I probably wouldn't have unless I was awake, so I think I was at least partly lucid.
