.....you...you read the thread?! you..i...
you rock man! by that post, you seem to really want to LD, so i bet you'll have them in no time. good luck!
[color=blue]Hello all.
I have been reading the posts with great interest and i am going to start a dream journal tonite with the aim of becoming a lucid dreamer. Just bought a cool digital voice recorder today to record my dreams in the night as they happen,i'm quite excited to try it, but also very pragmatic as i know that i don't always remember dreams every night, and LD doesn't just come right away. I have been interested in LD for years and have had a handfull over my lifetime. My most recent lucid dream occurred just over a week ago, and the experience was so liberating that it inspired me to make a continuous and serious attempt to do it more regularly. My dream started normally, and i don't even remember the early details of it, but as often happens to me, in mid dream, i got pulled away from whatever i was doing or who i was with and was lost in an outdoor labyrinth of paths and walls that i knew i had to find my way through to get back to where i was. Ususally this hopeless search continues for me until i stop dreaming and/or wake up, but this time i realized, dammit i'm dreaming, so, i decided to fly. I took a running start and took off, skimming along the ground at first, but with a pushoff with one hand i quickly took off above the clouds. I remember using a swimming motion to make myself keep moving and go faster. After time the dream began to fade and the lack of landmarks below made the flying get boring, so i visualized a moving train way below for me to chase and keep up the momentum of my flight. After this i woke up, very exhilirated and satisfied. Just wanted to share my experience. I hope i will be able to write back soon with another LD experience. Maybe the process of posting here will help to subconsciously inspire me in my LD program.
Cheers![]()

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
When did you actually learn about LDs?
Paper doll, whatcha mean "you read the thread"?

Congrats to your lucid dream !!! And good luck with the further training ...
Btw, if you don't already have it, you may give a look to the following book:
Stephen LaBerge: Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming
It's recognized by many people here as very helpful (and also my current guide to dreamland).
btw Paperdoll, I was FIRST suggesting it ! NYA NYA NYA NYA NYA NYA

Sleep well and prosper.

Yes, please keep us informed of your progress! I like your idea of using a voice recording device. No one really likes scribbling down details of their dreams at 4 in the morning.Originally posted by Mannequin Skywalker

You wake up at 4 in the morning... woh
Great to see so many responses to my thread, this group kicks ass!
icedawg :Yah i think the voice recorder makes alotta sense for a serious dream journal, esp for lazy ppl like me who will never be bothered to write anything down in the middle of the night.I believe i saw paperdoll and serinanth discuss this tool on another thread...
wasup: I have known about Lucid dreaming for at least 15 years or so, and always told myself i would get more seriously into it. I did some experimenting when i was younger, but didn't follow up on it enough. To quote the great Homer J Simpson, " If you're not good at something right away quit!" Seriously though, my latest LD outlined in my first post, and my recent lurking on this very cool message board has inspired me to try for real to become a successful lucid dreamer.
Timotheus: Stephen LaBerge's website was my first stop on the net in my researches, thanks for the tip, i am definitely off to the bookstore this week to pick up the book, i imagine the more you think and read about LD's in waking life, the better your success will get with time right?
Paperdoll btwi think you rock too, your posts make me howl, keep em comin...
Now the bad news, my first nite of dream journalling (i know its not a real word!) was a complete flop! Not 1 remembered dream! Oh well, i was somewhat jazzed last night and didn't sleep to well, guess i kinda psyched myself out! It may be a week or more before i have anything significant to report, but i will keep slugging, patience young Luke!![]()
One last Q for now, has anyone here ever tried the NovaDreamer advertised on LaBerge's website? I wonder if it really works? It sure looks neat anyway. I will likely never find out , cause as interested in LDing as i am, the $500.00 price tag on the thing is a little steep...
Talk to you all soon!
I find your lack of faith disturbing...
