That's interesting...The only thing I can come up with is that back when you were 7 your mind was free and not bogged down by the real world, and now that your older too much is going on upstaires for you to just let go. I guess do things that calm your mind before bed.....I'm one to talk because I should meditate more and I dont, but also read some of the other posts with techniques people use like reality checks that can help.

I also get the whole physical rest thing but my mind is not as rested I am consious most of the time so its pesky but at the same time a gift , its nice to just drop off into unconsiousness every once in a while though
