Familiars and dream empowered objects.
So a while back I had a werid dream, ... ok you guys gotta stop me from saying that.. nearly all my dreams are weird hehe
Well anyways, I ended up creating a familiar, I called it Spark
Spark was a mote of light, fairly intelligent could carry out basic commands and think on his own.
Spark could give himself mass and size up to about a baseball, change color, texture, bounce or not, defy gravity and float around, usualy just to the right of my right shoulder. Spark actually warned me and some friends about some shadows that came out of a rift after us, and distracted them enough for me to be able to take them down, spark could get really bright and flash a blinding light too. Spark also could change his pitch, he kinda resonated at a nice mellow C could change volume too
Though I havent seen him in a while I duno what happened =(

although i have made companions before, for some reason i choose to never recreate them. coo manJuliao

Familiars. Could have never thought of that...
I know about the concept of familiars as it pertains to witchcraft.
Maybe I'll try that some time. Have to create one that doesn't crap on the dining room rug though!(*like my dog does!)you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

It seems interesting to create familiars. I wonder if you create them or if you "summon" them, much like the dream-hitchhikers

I summoned mine and it just came flying from the sky lol, ever since it comes flying whenver i want it to

I am my own familiar.
But speaking of... I've been having recurring dreams about a cat lately. Or, more accurately, a kitten. Witches sometimes take animal familiars (which is where the whole superstition about black cats, bats, mice, crows, etc. came from). I had a cat about a year ago that I thought was perfect. But unfortunate circumstances split us up, and I've never seen her again. I've been hoping to find another cat/kitten with a similar mind as she had. I hope these dreams are telling me that will happen sometime soon!
Other than that, though, I've never really summoned a dream familiar. Odd, considering what a D&D buff I am.

I have no problem with cats bats or crows... except...
The silent crows that just watch you... they give me the heebie jeebies... normaly crows are noisy and just swawk and yell for no reason... but the ones that are quiet.. .and EXPECIALLY the ones that are quiet and the moment you realise they are watching you take off and leave...
