Wake up early, (4:30 AM - 5:30 AM) Go into your basement without turning ANY lights on, find a warm/comfy spot, (If any) And sleep there.
Also, if you have a large amount of spiders, I wouldn't do that method.

A while ago I became lucid, I sat up and looked into the hallway and saw 2 mysterious figures just standing there.. It was dark so I was scared. I just stayed in my bed an let the lucid fade away..
Something I could also never do is go downstairs into the basement while it's dark...
How could I conquer these fears?...

That reminds me of a book I read where the main character was trying to teach a girl how to use a knife to defend herself. But the girl was too afraid of the knife whilst practicing (encase she fell on it or something). So the main character made her walk around holding the knife for a week without ever letting go of it, by the end of the week she was completely at ease
Then again, it's a book lol. But yeah, even if you don't sleep the whole night, it'll help.Unless there IS spiders. Ew.
Lucid enviroment - Something out of the ordinary and fantasy like. Mostly outdoors.
I haven't had any scary lucids so I don't really know what I'm afraid of in them...

Regarding the 2 figures, the best thing to do is remember that they're not real. You can command bad DCs or creatures to go away and they probably will, brownie points if you have enough conviction and expectation that they'll go. As for the dark basements, I'm the same way. I simply look away (making sure it's completely out of my sight) and when I look back, I expect the lights to be on. Either that or I just go for it and pretend nothing bad could be down there. It's like walking around the house with the lights off, just on a higher and more supernatural calibre.
1.What lucid environment would you most prefer?
I like to be in my school because it's very wide open. I also like being in a wide street in the city, or in a well-lit park.
2.What are YOU afraid to do in YOUR lucids?
Be very afraid of something scary and completely fuck up a dream I could've made better.

Starting fresh... Dreams recalled this week: 4/5 | Lucids this month: 1/5

I was afraid to when i had similar experiences regarding lucid dreaming, my solution was my great interest for lucid dreaming. I stopped lucid dreaming for 1 month but after it i was still interested and started again. even do i was still afraid, and later i lost all my negative thoughts about lucid dreaming.
1 i am afraid of being afraid (with this i mean i am not afraid of anything except losing that control, something wat would never happen)
2 i prefer completely black rooms where you cant tell you are looking at a Y X or Z axis.
spend allot of time in your basement during the day, become very used to it then youll know its safe at night
1.What lucid environment would you most prefer?
open fields, grass plains, the sky
2.What are YOU afraid to do in YOUR lucids?
Screwing up somehow, by looking in the mirror or something like that. seeing something that really scares me. even if I can get away, ill still remember what it looked like... also the idea of going into space really freaks me out too, because once I had a dream I was lost there, so I dont want that to happen

1.What lucid environment would you most prefer?
Something big and old feeling, a castle or an old house or a mountain range. I don't feel cold or heat, so snow wouldn't bother me.
2.What are YOU afraid to do in YOUR lucids?
This actually happened to me the other night, my brain gets so caught up in the "BUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?" that I can't pull the dream away from something I don't like. Knowing that your dreaming and not being able to change anything is pretty fucking terrifying.
next time youre lucid and you feel like you dont have any control over what is going on, do your best to just stay calm(you know its a dream) and see where the dream takes you. some of the best lessons ive learned in lucid dreams have been where i just let go and rode it out.

ha, fair enough![]()
Achievements:
You can try lucid dreaming in the early morning when it is getting light outside. You could also try it on a weekend when you can sleep in until 10 or 11am. Things aren't so scary in the morning.

It's nothing to be afraid of, for some reason I've never really had an emotion during an Lucid Dream. Once in an Lucid Dream I was walking with some guy and it got dark, almost pitch black. We saw a little Cafe. We saw three black figures with helmets from Dead Space. Then I found out that the guy I was walking with was hiding behind me. That's so funny.
Your survey:
1.What lucid environment would you most prefer?
Bright areas.
2.What are YOU afraid to do in YOUR lucid's?
Lose lucidity and wake up.

I know the fear you speak of about the two people. When I was little and WILDed (way before I knew what LDing was) I would always see people in my bed room or the hall way or monsters from under the bed would get me. To this day I have a hard time walking in a dark room because of this, but I make my self do it all the time to help control the fear to a point. I still freak in total darkness when alone. For this problem just try to remember they are not real and they are only there to scare you out of being lucid. Think of them as guards of your mind keeping you from achieving your goal and banish them next time you see them.
For the basement try to go down there when it is not totally dark yet. Also if you have someone you can trust or have told about this fear see if they will go down there and sit with you for an hour or so. Having my hubby in the room with me at night or anyone for that matter helps me a lot to not be afraid and able to sleep and WILD with no problems.
1.What lucid environment would you most prefer?
a peaceful/totally calm one
2.What are YOU afraid to do in YOUR lucid's?
Go into dark places because I tell myself I will have a nightmare if I do.

Just remember that nothing can hurt you, you're basically Superman. I would reccomend venturing into your basement in a lucid dream when you feel ready, LaBerge reccomends seeking out the shadow (dark figures, monsters, and other such things) and reconsiling with it in order to overcome factors, concious or subconcious, that are limiting you in waking life.
I would say my preferred lucid dream environment varies depending on my current goal. Basically, any environment that in some way helpsme achieve my goal. I do prefer daytime environments. I can't really say I've ever felt serious fear during a lucid dream, that is I've not yet encountered anything frightening, and the only thing I'm trying hard not to do in a lucid is wake up![]()
