Thread: Treating DC's Badly, Can You Do It?

I've never hurt or killed a DC just for the fun or thrill of it.. it just never occurred to me to do so.

I would have no problem defending myself against a DC however.. and might even take pleasure in the power of it.

I know what you mean i robbed a shop before. I walked up to the till and shouted "this is a hold up". The woman behind the counter crapped herself along with everyone in the shop. I walked out laughing, but then i felt bad afterwards because they were nice dream characters. I never harm any dream characters unless it's self defence.

Though i have to say robbing that shop give me a thrill.

It all depends on the dream character Altair.

I normally treat DC's with the same respect that I would treat someone in real life.

But once when a DC attacked me I killed him with a 2x4, stuffed him in a box, and was trying to sneak his dead body out of the place using my car when I got stopped by a guard at the gate.

Fortunately the guard did not question what I had in my box.

While I was driving off though his head started talking to me from the box (lol), so I was thinking to myself how grateful I was that it did not start talking while I was at the gate with the guard.

Dreams...you got to love em!

LOL bud thats too funny but I would have crapped myself if it talked lol. But yea i wouldnt be able too unless they deserved it.

Yeah, I just got the impression from the how to kill a DC thread that some people kill them for fun.

When I get annoyed I curse at them a lot (they don't seem to mind, they just continue the idiotic behaviour that annoyed me). I'm pretty much the exact opposite in real life.

Also when that happens I almost always become lucid right after, because I realise nobody can possibly be THAT stupid.

Something really weird happened in a LD last night that has something to do with this. I was walking by my old house in Brazil and there was cute little 8 year old girl standing in the middle of the road. I asked for her name and she just fell to the floor and died. This seemed to carry on to anybody that came near my house.

Maybe it was your breath?

If it is then there is only one way to stop her from dying. I must first have a chain dream, then while in the dream, i must go back in time and tell her to stay away from me...But that is only if it's me.

Interesting dream camera_man. Since you were lucid I guess you could have willed these people back to life if you had wanted to.

My dream of the talking head was not a lucid dream, it was just a scary dream that is much funnier to look back now than it was at the time it happened.

I know what caused my dream. I listen to suggestions while I sleep and those suggestions must have come on about the time I thought the dead guy was talking to me, leading me to believe it was coming from him.

BTW, that was an incredible amount of maturity and understanding you showed in the way you handled the inmature remark from Imamerik. You will go far in life.

I'm a karate teacher and I don't hit my students so I sometimes do full contact fighting in my dreams. I know that they're just dreams characters so I don't mind doing anything to any of them, I've kicked, bit, and killed dream characters and just laughed about it. If you feel bad you can (once you get better) turn them into someone else who you hate.

Yeah, that was probably the weirdest dream I've ever had and for some reason it was really hard to control, but every lucid i have only becomes more and more experience.

I treat DCs that are hostile/irritating toward me very badly, it's the same with DCs that treat other DCs bad, but sometimes I don't do anything.

Last night in a lucid dream, a boy was shooting me with water guns. I was anoyed and changed his guns into dolls and made him kiss them and then laughed at him. It was fun.

Usually it doesnt occur to me to do anything nasty to a DC.
Alot of the time i'll have the urge to though and thats how i become lucid. Once in awhile i'll just do it for fun though.

I tend not to kill off or let random DCs be killed off because it takes awhile for them to respawn and its kinda boring without DCs

See what would be interesting is the exact opposite... Going around and getting pleasure out of being really nice to dream characters.... Ex: giving a homeless guy 1 million dollars That would be my idea of fun... Not killing poor people :S

Now there's a different idea.. giving to a DC or perhaps saving a DC's life in some way! I like it!

I would get alot of pleasure out of doing something like that. I don't like killing innocent dream characters.

Though i would rather keep the million dollars. No actually he could have it because i couldn't do much with it in my country.

Not that's an excellent idea.

Since many dream characters could represent something about the dreamer themself, treating a dream character nicely would be a good way for a dreamer to be nice to themself.

Great suggestion Jamal.

Any kind of communication that one could have with their dream characters could be beneficial in helping that person understand themself better.

Usually when there's huge groups of DC's and I need to get passed them I just wave my hand and throw them all into a wall or run really fast bowling them out of the way.

Other than that I only kill/hurt/maim a DC if they are hostile towards me or being a dick. Then I go overkill on them, then other DC's go, "Oh noes!". And I'm like, "That's right I went there".

One time one said, "Your hair is like a dog anus" so I turned him into a huge anus. Then I said, "Your hair looks nice". I then turned him into a hotdog but couldn't eat him due to the fact he had just been a huge anus. Huge anus' look wierd, by the way.

Considering that dreams are the manifest content of an introverted wrold propogated by sporadic synaptic firings, I have no problem doing whichever I want with DC's.

Does that I mean that I do horrible things to them though? No.

However, I will do experiments with them. For example, I like to see how DC's will react if I say, "Hey guess what.. you're now missing an arm" or see how they react to me telling them that they are part of my dreams. It can be amusing.

Now I'm torn! How can that seem both incredibly cruel yet funny to me?
