I'm sure it varies by individual. 'Increace Lucidity' works best for me!
Would be interesting though to know what works best for each person 'hint-hint'![]()
Is it just me, or does "Focus" work better than "Higher Lucidity" in a LD?
Also, what other verbal commands do you use in your LDs?

The last LD I had I used the term 'lift' to lift an object and 'wake up'

increase lucidity and increase vividness work well for me, I'll try focus though because vocal commands did nothing for me in my last LD.

i tried "Lights On" once for some reason i forget. i got more vivid. i dont remember any other verbal command working.
This is really interesting!
I've noticed that, for me, when the Dreaming starts to waver, I say "NO!" very loudly. I say it and mean it. The dream stabalizes after that, things become more vivid and clear, and whatever dream constructs happen to be there always look at me funny.![]()

it never occurs to me to actual speak something like this in a dream
It seems the more 'serious' the command the more power it has.
Such as 'CLARITY, NOW', said with a commanding voice.
These can get a bit cheesy, but hell, at least it increases vividity!

Focus is a word I use during meditation and it seems to help in meditating
without interfering distractions.
The phrase "Show Me" tends to help me remember my dreams and aid
in lucidity as well.

I remember saying "Fly" when I was learning to fly, but within 3 attempts I switched to just thinking about it.
I think if you yell something out really loud you have to have some confidence in what you say will happen and you wont look like a moron. While if you think about it, there is always some doubt that it wont work.
I think if you shout anything loud enough it might just happen. Should think of something that is really out there and yell it out as loud as you can and put some real feeling behind it and see if it works. I want to try that if I remeber next time I am lucid.
I suck at verbal commands. I really need to work on them.
WerBurn, you really like Canada don't you?
I told the snow to melt last night and it did. I think I told the sky to change colors and it did too.
