In my experience may differ from your brain. For me my optimum recall is after 5 hours or more of sleep. That's the last REM cycles for the night and usually when lucid dream occours. Try not to interupt sleep before/during the 5 hours or the recall will be crap. The ideal is to sleep for 5 hours or more straight and no alrams to wake you up. You have to train yourself to wake up on your own or set a dimmed light to go off on a timer 5 or more hours later to gently wake you up and after some time it will be implanted to wake up at that time. So you won't need the light anymore. I recomend buying the Philips Wake-Up light if you can afford one although I do not have one but I think it's gonna help your dream recall and probably give you lucid dreams. www.wakeuplight.philips.co.uk
