Can you use LDs for dream recall?

Say, for example, you had a non-lucid last night and your recall of it is very vague. If you're in an LD now, can you say to yourself something like, "I will walk through this door and be back in the dream from last night I've forgotten"?

Or, "I will walk outside and see an image from last night's dream"?

You could give it a shot, however you may have inaccurate results. The previous nights dream is probably stored away in your memory/subconscious somewhere, but your mind can also transport you into a completely different dream and make you believe it is correct. I have been in a lucid dream and knew 100% that I had continued a dream for earlier that night. I woke up and realized that I had never been to that setting before. The mind can do some crazy things.
