Writing down the one I do remember, actually. It always works.
How are some ways that you've suddenly recalled a dream?
I woke up today only remembering the last dream I had. But I KNEW I had another dream before it. I can't remember, so I write the one I can remember down. I was racking my brain trying to remember. Well, I give up and just laid there deciding if I should get up yet, or just chill for a bit
I then give a heavy exhale and bam! My dream comes rushing back to me! I remember because in my dream I did the same thing, a heavy exhale, and some lady told me I needed to brush my teeth (I had 2-3 other people tell me the same thing, lol)
So what are some ways that you suddenly remembered a dream that had escaped you?

Come on! What if Martin Luther King said: "I kinda have a dream... nah, I don't wanna talk about it."
For me the same, sometimes I'm writing down one dream I recalled, while writing I remember the second and third. Very crazy sometimes because it can go from 1 to 4 or 5 dreams. Kind of funny.
Last month I recalled 3 dreams a night at least. But since a week I don't have the energy to wake up and write down. Sometimes one in the morning.

Haha, had it happen again!
Forgot it even though I JUST dreamt about it. So was laying there and for some reason, a thought of my dad went into my mind and the whole dream flowed in! Weird

Once I start writing, it normally all floods back into my memory. It is weird how we need that little trigger to begin the chain of memories.
try relaxing back into your bed for a few minutes, letting your breathing adjust back to even, deep restful rhythm. Sometimes just shifting into a position that you were in when you first work up will help with the recall. If you truly want to recall as often as possible, plant some positive suggestions into your subconcious through meditation before bed.![]()

Sometimes I'm just talking with friends and then BOOOM!! Something in the discussion made me remember ALL the dream or almost. I like it when it happens. I give times to my dreams to come back. Maybe that's just me, I can't recall a dream by relaxing and such at all.

Usually I remember it later in the morning, by just making some random connections.
For example: I couldn't remember my dream one day, and I was really upset. I went downstairs to watch TV and there was a short picture of a hot air balloon. I thought about how I would love to ride in one, but how I might be scared of the height. I thought about exactly how I would feel, and BAM! I remembered feeling that way in my dream. The whole rest of it came coming back to me. It turns out I had been sitting on a platform 50ft about the ground.
Just today I watching night at the museum 2 and when i saw someone on it trying to run but they got tired too quickly I remembered a dream I had where I was really tired

Just now I felt that my cowlick was all funky. I touched it and then remembered my dream was about my hair being quite long and I was making it stand up and stuff, lol

This afternoon I remembered something and I'm not sure if I experienced it in a dream or in waking life. The more I think about it the more likely it was that I was dreaming.
I often experience something like that, when I think of something, I think "hey! that was a dream!" or "hey! .. was that a dream?".
Obviously I've had a lot of times when I just remember something. When I watched "waking life" I halfway remembered I had eaten a parking meter in a lucid once. I couldn't stop smiling, even after the movie was over and we were talking about it xD

Whenever i remeber a dream i had later in the day, it makes me really dizzy. Once i was talking to my friend and then i remembered that i had been talking about the same exact thing. I got really dizzy and i started swaying. Does anybosy else get dizzy??

This happened to me last night. I was writing about my month in my regular journal and started thinking about exams, and as soon as I thought of my English exam I remembered having a dream about it the night before. I love that feeling.
I hate when you remember and just before you get the chance to relive it or write it down, it suddenly disappears from your mind! Most aggravating feeling ever!
"I mean, technically it's a phenomenon of sleep, but you can have so much damn fun in your dreams. And of course, everyone knows...fun rules."

Like others have said, I usually get a lot more memories than expected when I start writing down what I have remembered.
And later during the day, something said in a simple conversation or a random sight would trigger the whole dream. I love the feeling too, it's like a cool flashback sort of moment where I stop what I'm doing and run through the scenes in my head.

Question everything that you see before you.
I did the same thing. I couldn't remember my dream for the life of me.. so I wrote down the ones I did remember in my dream journal. Then I sat down and relaxed and like you said, BAM.![]()

usually when i cant remember my dreams, theyll come to me in the shower
Just last night i was having a great dream, i woke up and couldn't remember any of it until a girl that i like txt's me and i got butterflies and it all came back to me.
[i took over my friends profile so i'm not dereks girl don't worry haha]
Smile now, for things will get better. It may be stormy now, but it can't rain forever.

I don't get this alot.
In my pre-sleep... I let my mind wander thought tangents. If i become aware of myself, for shits and giggles, I decide to retrace the tangents i left on.
This is useful because I use the same technique in my dream recall.
I start from the most recent down...
from there, it's either extended thinking and attempted recall, or like you all, a random trigger.
A couple months ago I had a dream that a friend of mine came over with a new silver flip phone (inside a brown phone case) and was telling me about how it was such a good deal. I woke up that morning with poor recall, and didn't remember a bit of the dream.
The next day, before I left my house he stopped by to visit me. He said he wanted to show me the silver flip phone he got on sale, and that it even came with a brown case. Of course the dream flashed before my eyes after seeing that xD
