Interesting idea. Did you have any luck with it?
While there are plenty of dream recal topics I could have posted this in, I didn't want anyone to confuse this with advise untill I hear some feedback on it.
Lately as I've been trying to remember my dreams, I find myself unconciously moving my head from side to side. That is is the technique in a nutshell, moving your head from side to side ever so slightly.
But to fully explain, lets say I start with a small dream fragment. I'm trying to remember what happened before the fragment, and what happened after. As I move my head to the left, I try to push at the fragment's boundaries into the past events. When moving my head to the right, I try to push further into what happened next.
Moving back and forth, pushing forward and backwards. It's like the dream fragment is an island surrounded surrounded by a drakness or a fog, and my moving my head like this I'm casting out a fishing line in either direction. The back and forth rythym provides a relentless assault on whatever mental blocks get in the way of rememberng your dreams.
If any of this makes sense to anyone, and you would like to try it, I would be very interested to hear how it went, and if if helped with dream recall any.

Sort of like a rewind (left), stop and ponder(middle) and fast forward(right)?
REALITY CHECK
i shall give it a try tomorrow morning!
Sounds like a pretty good idea, I'll try it when i wake up tommorow!![]()
You reveal that a reveal check reveals nothing.
I am going to try this technique too.
MAybe it has something to do with sensoric channels from NLP. If you look up, you are concentrating on your visual thoughts, if you are looking at the middle, ears are concerned and when you are looking down, kinaesthethic (movement and feelings| part of brain is activated.
Eye position should mean this:
up, left: visual imagination
up, right: visual memory
mid, left: ear imagination
mid right: ear memory
down left: feelings memory
down right: internal dialogue
This could help. And as i see this post, i am gonna make this a thread.![]()
You know...I think I may have been doing something similar to this all along...thanks for giving it good form, i'll try and do it the way you said, and with some luck, hopefully will recall a bit more...

Do you think that it could work with the minutest detail? Or would that just be a fabrication? I can't remember anything but the fact that I dreamt last night...
"Then the sun will shine on me, Send the light and set me free, I'll be off and on my way, On my Independance Day.
All the songs I could not sing, All the words I could not say, I'll be shouting everything, On my Independance Day."

Here is an article that sheds some light on why this technique could work: Moving Your Eyes Improves Memory, Study Suggests

Pretty interesting idea. I'll give it a shot the next time I have one of those annoying fragments that I know were pretty important.

Hmm .... interesting. I'll try this the next chance I get.
