My thinking for memory-matrix essentially is that it improves memory of 3-D area. So for obvious reasons that may be important in dream recall, as well as perhaps improve your awareness of what is happening around you in a dream. For example, with improved 3D memory you might have a easier time recognizing the changes in a instantaneous dream and say "hey a second ago that table had a lamp on it, now its gone" you preform a reality check out of confusion = clutch lucid party time.
Lost-in-migration may help stabilization in a dream, as it helps concentration, as well as avoiding distraction. For example a well known stabilization technique in a dream could be focus on one object. If you have had trouble with this before either because of say: loss of clarity, being distracted by other things going on around, or even feeling your waking body, I think this might may be beneficiary.
So this could just be a safe bet while you continue to participate dream journaling. I have absolutely no clinical research on this, so I brought it to dream views. If you happen to be able to recall more dreams, improve clarity/vividness, as well as say length, awesome! This is a rather subtle inquiry, so what I mean is Reality checking/dream journaling are way more important, but I guess these traits could not hurt to be improved. Hopefully this might help and happy dreaming.

"And please do not get angry if I tell you the truth. The fact is that there is no person on earth whose life will be spared by you or by any other majority, if he is genuinely opposed to many injustices and unlawful acts, and tries to prevent their occurrence in our city. Rather, anyone who truly fights for what is just, if he is going to survive for even a short time, must act in a private capacity rather than a public one." -Aristotle
