Experience counts for a lot. Just keep at it, and eventually you'll get it down.
I woke up and couldn't remember my dream right away, i was thinking hard and finally remembered it while brushing my teeth.
It was intense but I couldn't do anything I wanted in my dream. It was all passive, I couldn't control my thoughts or action.
I called 911 and after I left and locked my doors, the phone stopped working
Then I looked outside and it was snowing.
I did a few reality checks in real life but I didn't do it in my dreams
Do I need more practice?

I once remembered a LD in the shower like a hour later lol.
It happens.
Sometimes I'll remember no dreams when I wake up but then in the middle of the day and something will trigger my memory. Usually if I don't remember the dreams within 10-15 min of waking up they won't seem vivid or detailed. Keep at the dream diary and you'll see your dream recall, clarity and complexness increasing!
Starting from scratch![]()
all excellent points.
i came back from a dry spell recently, and had trouble with my control at times (i hope no one ever takes that sentence out of context... sorry, i couldn't help it). but i am finding that as i get back in the groove of things, i am regaining my control... actually scratch that last one too.
