      Mugwort to help dream recall

A while back I heard that the herb mugwort would help dream recall. I was told that if you put a sachet under your pillow you will remember your dreams and they will be more vivid. I've tried it and it worked for a time but gradually faded. I wonder if it was the mugwort or if it was my intent and will. I mean did the act of physically using something before bed increase my intent and focus or was it a combination of the two? I know there are Deam Pilows full of various herbs that you can buy or make that is supposed to do the same thing. Does this work for anyone else or is it just lunacy

      That's a good question.
I don't know that anyone can EVER PROVE that the herbal method does not help, but I wouldn't bet on it. I can say, however, that whether it helps or not, the intent is still going to be there, and that WILL make a difference. If you BELIEVE that the herbs are going to make you have lucid dreams, they will have an effect.

I had the same experience some years ago with Mugwort. Had lots of interesting dreams, then stoped noticing any effect. Misteltoe is another dreaming herb, easier to get

I've actually used Mugwort, and it isn't a placebo. It has a very distinct, very strong smell, and it sort of jars you out of your deep sleep throughout the night. I could even smell it in one of my dreams, which helped my slip into LD.

I think everyone here should try sleeping with Mugwort a couple of times before they write it off as nothing.

      Mugwort?

Sounds like something out of Harry Potter.

haha yeah true, Mugwort is also a herb Harry Potter gets herbal classes on on Hogwards

      Good information sources on:
      Mugwort and
      Wormwood

I'm pretty much into herbal experimenting with herbs who have subtle psycho-active properties. Especially dream potentiating.

I have read about this herb and it's dream-potentiating properties on www.erowid.org and I decided to look for it.
I found it and bought 100grams of Dried and chopped up Mugwort. I have slept with a sandwitchbag full of it under my pillow for several nights without obvious effects. I rolled it into herbal joints, Together with slight amounts of weed or with dried and chopped http://Wormwood. The first time I sm...k it out<br />
