Personal dream signs
Just thought I'd post a couple of my most reliable dream signs to see what y'all think. First are an experience I have come to know as "night terrors." These, of course, are when I experience sleep paralysis. I feel as if my eyes are actually open (though maybe they are, I am not sure) however I cannot move, scream, or use any normal function of my body. I am not even sure I am breathing as I usually snap out of them gasping for air. Something bad is always happening during the SP (i.e. someone crawling through my bedroom window, someone sitting at the edge of my end table staring at me, men with guns in my roon, etc.) Since learning more about lucid dreaming, I think I have actually defeated the terrifying part of "night terrors" and now the SP is a sign to me that I am dreaming, somewhat.
My second most recurring dream sign is fighting. As of late many of my dreams have involved me being in very intense, brutish, bloody fights and brawls. Since I never fight in real life, I now become lucid when I see myself smashing other people's faces into jagged or hard surfaces, and the fighting ceases. Unfortunately I still cannot exert control when I become lucid, I am still practicing at that.

I also know I'm dreaming when I'm in a fight or trying to hit somebody (because I've never been in a real-life fight). But the weird thing is that I can never actually hit the person or if I do, it's very light or I miss them completely. I guess I'm just not a fighter (whether I'm awake or dreaming).

Huh, that is pretty bizarre. Like I said I never fight in real-life either. Last time I fought a kid was in middle school. However in my dreams I always have flawless victories in my fights. Sometimes I beat my opponents so badly that I am later informed they are dead, though the words are actually never uttered, I can just tell that is what the DCs mean when they come to tell me of the adversaries condition.
