      Progress - Thus Far

Priory to consciously attempting to improve my dream recall I'd say my abilities were above average. I'd usually remember several fragments most mornings and only rarely would a day go by that I wouldn't remember anything form the previous night.

At least once a month I'd experience a particularly vivid dream and would awake with the associated emotions still in tact. The vividness would remain with me for the entire day.

Been reading about LD for about a month now and keeping a DJ for last 4 nights. I'm concentrating solely on improving dream recall although I am aware of RC methods and lucid induction techniques.

My dream recall has got progressively worse each night with last night's recall amounting to a few fragments. I'm really struggling to recall dreams during my nightly awake periods and usually get nowhere and fall back to sleep.

But, they do so patience is a virtue and no more truer than on the path of LD so I shall perceiver. I think I'm doing all the right things and see no reason to change my approach.

Just wanted to have a moan and note my progress thus far. Hopefully I'll be able to update this post with more +ve results as time goes by.

Four nights. Especially when first starting out, you'll have hills and trenches in recall and skill as your mind starts figuring out what your worded (conscious) mind is trying to do. Like a cat puzzle box. So far, you seem to be doing everything just fine. :]

Keeping a steady sleep schedule will help boost recall, on the basis of circadian rhythms and conditioning.

Thanks, this is really helpful for me just starting out.
