      R.C. by listening and looking for oddities

      I had a dream where I thought I was dreaming so I decided to examine anything I could see very carefully to see if anything was out of place. I totally tricked myself.
      Then I listened very carefullly to a song and all the words were correct and nothing was offbeat or anything. It never ceases to amaze me how unvellievably realistic dreams can be

      has anyone else RC'd like this before

      Yes, this is a very effective reality check, however, like you said, your lucid mind plays tricks on you. You might be examining things and notice a purple frog. You examine it and your brain decides, it is such a beautiful and perfect frog and totally normal.

      I have been foold scores of times as have most members here.

      Yeah its happened to me also.I usually wake up laughing real hard because I couldn't believe that I was un-able to notice stuff like that.

      Like in 1 dream the sun kept changing colors and rising and setting every minute or so, and I just thought "hey, thats kinda cool" and left it at that.

      my mind keeps playing tricks on me too like one time I tried a RC in a dream and I looked at my reminderband( that I have on 24/7 by the way ) and my reminderband words were glowing with a bright white light!!! a very clear indicator that im dreaming and I thought it was cool and normal and went about my dream...I also hate false awakenings
