I think what u dont like is recalling for your last night dreams, I think thats something that we all have to do, thats why we wanna keep a dream journal... I know that feeling, feeling you just had a awesome dream and cant remember it. Im sure that this only happens with regular dream because i think that in lucid dreams ur mind starts to remember like in normal life, so my advice is not to worry if it was an LD that you cant remember, im not saying small shittie semi-lucid`s im saying if you have a Big LD you would probally remember it.

Sometimes that's annoying. Usually it's a side effect of not having/not paying much attention to a dream journal.

here's few tips that often work.
1) think of your recent experiences and scan them for "alienness" or inconsistencies.

2) think of things that usually come up in your dreams. For example: Did I use guns? Were there other dreamers? Did I have superpowers?

3) If you have a lingering sensation or you remember at least a bit or even a scene of your dream, focus on it and work from there.

For me, lost dreams come within 1-10 min.

I agree with you here. I just did this yesterday. I could feel the memory of a good dream sliding away from me.

Exactly I'm sitting there with my journal trying to relax and remember and then suddenlysomething comes to me but just as quick as it had come I lose it. And no I'm not talking about LD's. I haven't gotten that far yet. I have just about 5-10 pages in my journal. And mostly thats just fragments.

This is rough, I hate how you guys make it sound so easy.

close your eyes when you wake up (sit up while doing this) and with your eyes closed start focusing on your breathing, then usually you will get images and story of what your dream was about, when you do get that start to say in your head what your seeing with the intent to remember it then get your journal as soon as possible and write it down

okay...i know this goes against what most people say, but for me the thing that usually helps me recall my dreams the best is to go on with my normal morning routine. I just have breakfast, go to the toilet, wash face.... whatever. My dreams normally just HIT me about 5 - 10 minutes after i wake up. This might not work with most people but even if i wake up and think, "Damn, no recall at all tonight/this morning", 10 minutes later i'll be recalling at least one dream i've had. I'd like to hear if this is true with anyone else.

yeah i kind of meditate on dreams while im in the shower and they come back to me slowly.

I can always remember little bits of dreams when I first wake up, but they slowly fade away over about the first hour of being awake. Basically, the sooner I concentrate on recalling them, the better for me. If I spend that hour not trying to recall anything, I'll just lose them forever.

My biggest problem is that I'm just too damn tired to write down my dreams when I first wake up... I'm not a morning person I'll remember a dream or 2 that I had, but I'll usually just be like, fuck it, I'd rather sleep than write it down. Oh well, heh.

I find jumping back into bed helps. If I'm writing something down but I can't remember the details, I'll often hop back into bed and see if I can remember anything else. This usually works very well for me, and sometimes I'll even remember a dream I forgot about from several days or weeks ago, which I don't even remember forgetting (but upon recall it seems as if you just dreamed it last night).
