Using a digital recorder as a dream journal

Well, i am on my 4th night now using a recorder. I am wayyy to lazy to write down my dreams in the morning, (usually leaving myself only the bare min. amount of time to get up, shower and get to work, so i listen to the tape in the evening and transcribe it to my journal. ) This is a way to surreal an experience, imagine having to relisten to a passage 5 times to understand what your own voice is trying to sputter out about some dream memory in a 5:00 am still half asleep delerium. I'm having trouble with the discipline of recording every remembered drean, it's so hard to break myself away from the world of sleep to stay conscious long enough to gather my thoughts and make a coherent recording. I am greatly in awe of some of the posts i have read in the lucid experiences section. I look forward one day to being able to recall that much detail! I am hoping/guessing that this is what comes with true lucidity and experience. My remembered dreams so far are so fragmented and lack detail, with many dreamshifts and most frustratingly, at least one major dreamsign that i always let slip by without a second thought. Please tell me it gets better with time, oh great experts whom i bow down to!!
I find your lack of faith disturbing...

I dont consider myself an expert or a god. However what you are doing sounds like a great idea. I dont even keep a dream journal i just make mental notes and meditate constanly and my recall is good everynight except certain ocasions.

With time you should improve for sure.

it does get better, lucid dreaming is a skill that gets better as you practice and get experience.
