Thread: What is YOUR dream sign?

The only dream sign I know of is the location. I'm always around home somewhere. Just that it seems that the places I know are somewhat different. But I never think about it in the dream. I sometimes dream that I'm at a completely different place, but I usually dont remember those dreams.

Half-moon glasses, clocks, and famous landmarks (big ben and the london bridge especially)

I am constantly at my old house in my dreams, it never seams to strike me as odd though. If I could only remember that I live in a different house, I'd be able to become lucid all the time! I'd say 85% of the time I am either at my old house or at my old school or neighborhood.

Another regular dream sign is the school camp scenario. Have that one a lot! Now if I could just recognize these...

The most common dreamsign for me would be getting chased.
Panic is extremely common.
Running/snowboarding down hills or mountains might be one.
Teachers maybe one as well.
2 nights ago I had a dream where I wasn't able to scream or yell when I needed to. You feel utterly powerless. I don't think this is a repeating dreamsign though.

I don't have any of the most common dreamsigns:

I CAN run--quite well--sometimes when I'm getting chased I can jump 8 feet high and run super fast.

I never see myself from 3rd person perspective. I can't imagine what this would feel like; watching yourself act out what you're doing.

No teeth falling out. This idea scares me--I feel bad for anyone with this. On second thought, it's one of the easiest to identify.

Come to think of it, I don't eat food often in my dreams. Last night I was going start eating lunch on a field trip or something and then went somewhere else. I would love to know if you have this dreamsign.

People I go to school with show up in my dreams very commonly, but since this dryspell, none.

omg i know what you mean! My dreamsign(s) are my friends from my old schools that I no longer attend in other parts of the country [i move around a bit. so it's obvious i dont see these people anymore]. MOST of my dreams have these people in them, but It never strikes me as odd to see someone i haven't seen in years

I'm not sure if I really have any specific dream signs, I usually just notice that weird things are happening and become lucid that way. (Pokemon, car crashes, mysterious men in black coats, that kind of stuff) Some dreams when I start out lucid though, I'm standing in my bedroom and it's twilight.

Um the only dream sign I can think of is...

about %40 of the dreams I have this happen, I'm either driving a car or in the front passenger seat and it always seems to be driving by a cliff,over a bridge, etc and it would randomly drive off the side and into the river/sea...

And yet I'm still yet to become lucid through realizing that it has happened a lot in prior dreams and therefore it is a dream..

When I was young, my dream sign was cats.
Now my dream sign are vehicles, mostly cars, but have been in trains, boats,
planes and also bikes and motorbikes.

For about 2 years my dreamsign has been police, cops, authority etc. and I've never gone lucid during one despite plugging my nose everytime I see a cop IRL.

I've also just noticed that I dream of Vans or being in vans etc.

When I was young, grade school until high school, I always dream I am being chased by people I don't know, all I know is that I'm scared and I'm running away from them.

After high school and until now (although a little less now), I constantly dream I am lost in an unfamiliar place (which is always an urban area) or I cannot find a ride going home. Both wake me up scared.

Also, it may not come up as frequently as the above mentioned, but I usually dream about my old school. Even if I'm already in college, I would dream that it is still the school i go to (grade school). And in my dreams I am always taking an exam in Math.

And I also never see myself in 3rd perspective. I am always me, 1st person, in my dreams.

I'm having a lot of emotional issues since my girlfriend dumped me, and all my dreams within the past two weeks have involved me beating the s**t out of somebody, or killing somebody. AKA extreme violence ends up making me realize I'm dreaming, because I would never do such things in real life. I think it's just my anger and frustration and depression that not only causes me to have these dreams, but also causes my health to deteriorate. I'm never hungry anymore, and I don't get sleepy, and I've started to get very serious migraines.

My dreamsign: un character-like violence from me.

The first and foremost sign that I'm dreaming is my hands, they are long fingered, graceful with beautifully shaped long nails (so not my hands). The second is if my Grandmother or Grandfather are guiding me (both are deceased).

One of my biggest dream signs right now is the presence of the so-called "High School DCs." This group consists of people who went to high school with me. They are my dream posse. They follow me around, we help each other, we do crazy stuff, we have serious conversations. I love those guys.

In order of most frequently occurring:

♪ Starting in a familiar place (home, friends home, school) and from there going to unknown places. (Example: A few nights ago I dreamt I was in my grandfather's home and I went out the door and it was his house but on a winding hill with lots of trees and no other houses in sight. Contrary to reality)

♪ My Girlfriend: Every other dream I have she's right there and there's a huge smile on my face. She usually doesn't speak in my dreams. Complete opposite of reality.

♪ Girls asking me weird questions: I had a dream not too long ago in which a girl asked me if she could borrow my Pizza Hut... Trippy!

Being in a strange place that I've never been to before and that looks awesome. =D
for example, I've dreamed about a pretty countryside, a school that is very old and has a lot of beautiful stuff, and a concert theater with lots of papers on the walls (it was cool-looking!), and I had never ben to those places in real life.
Now I constantly ask myself, "Have I been here before? Am I dreaming?"

i've never intentionally had a lucid dream, but i do have a dream sign: i can't keep my eyes open. most of the time when this happens, i am driving or talking to someone. sometimes i am at work or school. after this happened repeatedly in my dreams, i started to realize that this meant i was dreaming. i wonder if this means i'm not sleeping well, since i'm aware my eyes are closed in "real" life.

Dream signs for me tend to be things, which incidentally happen to be all around me. My dreams are far from original for the most part:

"Star Trek"
"Ninja Warrior"
"Meerkat Manor"
Anything perverted/censorable
Games like "Halo" or "Call of Duty" or "Killzone"

My sign is just water. I do have a few more like Knives, Heights, Deja Vu, The feeling of things being fake, Often I'll dream that it's the first day of school and I don't know where anything is. Also Rollercoasters, and being in unfamiliar and dark places. Hahaha, but that's mine.

meh? mine is probably zombies i have alot of zombie dreams for action dreams i need to realise im dreaming when i see them its hard
