Thread: What is YOUR dream sign?

One of my common dreamsigns is my step brother. I often meet him in my dreams and he´s often drunk(Maybe that´s my subconscious picture of him?).

Another dreamsign is that when I´m in a fight and am about to hit someone, I can´t hit them, or I just hit them really soft. I´ve never attained lucidity from any of the two.

That's so weird! When I firsts tried WILDing, I was always in a WalMart staring at a can of soup. I remember when I first joined DV, some other members were talking about WalMart being a recurring theme to them. I guess their advertising is so effective it reaches our dreams

I think it was cream of mushroom, but it was blurry.

I have a few:

1. Things disappearing when I look away.
2. A chopped up, spliced together version of my school.
3. A particular recurring DC. (M, for all of those who read my DJ)
4. Time not synching up quite right.
5. When I try to ask DCs questions about where to put something or sit, they don't respond.

My Dream Signs are:

1. Being in my bathroom at home(in my dream of course)
2. Spiders
3. People from my school that I don't see
4. My hair(it always tends to be lengthier than an real life)

Nothing out of the ordinary really happens in my dreams ...so I can't really contrast it to waking life ...

In my dreams, I'm always with friends, as I am in real life. So I guess when they call me or come over, I'll perform a reality check.

Hey im pretty much a newb here but id like to share my dream signs if thats ok

My Dream Signs

1 ) Lan Party's and overclocking events

2 ) Video Games

3 ) Golfing

4 ) Old school friends

Back when I was primarily practing DILD, I used my school building and friends as dream signs.

My dreams are pretty random. These are the main dreamsigns I have been able to identify. Unfortunately, I have never become lucid by identifying a dreamsign.

1. Thinking, "I hope X doesn't happen!" causes X to happen, OR, thinking, "I hope Y happens!" causes Y to happen.

After a really sad conversation with my friend about rape, I went on one of my online forums, thinking, "This should help me escape this subject for now. I know they won't mention rape here." And what do you know, the first post I read in the first topic I check has the phrase "rape and pillage" in it. I RC'd, but was awake.

2. The Simpsons, especially Lisa Simpson.

I haven't watched the show since it jumped the shark, so I have no idea why characters or aspects of it appear in my dreams so often, but I try to RC whenever I see an ad for The Simpsons or notice that The Simpsons is on. I have been Lisa Simpson in dreams, and also Yeardley Smith, the lady who plays her voice.

3. Fictional characters of any sort being real.

It is very difficult for me to reality check whenever I hear something about any fictional character, so I have to train myself to reality check just when that fictional character appears to have become a real person. This, of course, generally happens only in my dreams, so it's kind of hard to get in the habit.

Those are the ones I've identified so far. People do not seem to recur in my dream...unless you count the Simpsons.

Breathing underwater has happened more than any other event for me that I can remember, but it still only happens on rare occasions and hasn't in a long while. So I don't know if it can be called a dream sign.

I often dream about my parents, school, and classmates, so I guess those are my dream signs.

So far I had:

1. A small bike that I couldn't pedal for some reason, it felt like it was stuck, but
for some reason I couldn't get it to become un-stuck.

2. I dialed my home number on my cellphone. The numbers kept changing
and would not dial.

3. A Toilet Paper that couldn't tear, I was struggling to tear it, but I couldn't.

at this point in time it is having a dream girlfriend and feeling loved and embraced by her.

Trains, train stations, traveling.

strangely, my dad. Ever since I found out about lucid dreaming, he's been in about 80% of my dreams.

My Dream Signs are always involving me being in a video game, movie or
cartoon.

Floating. When I move somewhere in my dreams I usually do it by floating over there, and I generally am very quick to realize that I'm floating. This doesn't often result in a high level lucid, but it activates (for lack of a better word) that part of my brain which understands what a dream is. So once I notice I'm floating, the other dream powers become usable, and my dream characters will acknowledge that they are dream characters (to an extent).

I remember one dream I had several years ago where I knew I was in a dream, but I didn't quite understand exactly what that meant. I started flying around and that attracted the attention of my family members. I explained to them that this was just a dream, and then wasted the rest of my time trying to teach my brother how to fly. It was one of those dreams you face-palm over in the morning.

i have this ever so often image in dreams, having to do with missiles. i'm not sure how i have them in my thoughts to dream of, but they do appear in ways not wanted.

i'm learning now that this is a personal dream sign. though, more personal through fear.

My dream sign is unmistakeable..

Either a Bison or Woolly Mammoth jumping in an arc over the skyline and when it gets to the peak of the arc it instantly grows twice its size and lets out this almost robotic-like short "moo" sound before shrinking back to its original size and continuing down the arc and behind the skyline..

Only thing is, its only happened a handful of times so still shocks me in the dream when i see it lol

But its clear cut and unmistakeable

Im not really sure for my dream sign. I'm going to start a dream journal today but of all the dreams I can remember it's like im playing a role in a movie. I always end up with some power and some times I see me/my character in third person. Could that be my dream sign? ?.?
