How much sleep do you get per night? And do you have a farily regular sleep shedual?

Hey I'm having a real problem with my recall. I've tried waking myself up in the night, and tried autosuggestion, but I can' seem to remember more than 1 dream per night. Any suggestions? I'm going to school now, will check when I get back
How much sleep do you get per night? And do you have a farily regular sleep shedual?

I have the same problem except that lately I can't even remember 1. Regular sleep pattern of 8 hours. plenty of water and I keep a DJ in which I write all my dream. Tried suggestion before bed and laying still as I wake up. NOTHING.
Can anyone provide GOOD tips and pointer to improve dream recall?

I get to sleep about 11:30 (that's when I actually go to sleep; I go to bed at 11:00), wake up about 7:30, so a good 8 hours sleep. If I can I go to bed earlier - 10:30 if possible. My alarm is set for 4:30 in the morning, but I'm experimenting with changing it since it doesn't seem to be waking me up at the right times. It's set again for 6:40. Please help me![]()
I'd say give it time... for me it tends to come and go. 3 or 4 days with no recall, 3 or 4 with good recall, 3 or 4 with no, 3 or 4 with good, rinse, repeat, etc.

So basically, do nothing. But I know I CAN remember up to 4-5 dreams per night, because I used to, but not any more

Don't get frustrated, these abilities come and go like he said. When yo wake, let your mind wander away from the worries of your day back to the night. If you can remember even 1 peice the rest of the peices usually fall into place. petience...

Your dream recall can go away depending on things going on in your life. For example, if you are stressed than you may not have as good dream recall as you normally do. I highly suggest you keep a dream journal, that is the only thing that works for me.

I second the idea of using autosuggestion to wake you up. Try this for two or three nights:It sounds crazy, that your mind can tell time so accurately, but about 80% of the time that I set my alarm before I go to sleep I wake up between 5 and 10 minutes before it goes off, even when I need more sleep than that. When I wake up like this there is no rush to turn the alarm clock off, so I'm not distracted from whatever it was that was going through my head when I woke up. Now, what was going through my head when I woke up? I think to myself, and usually within two or three minutes I can come up with one or two dreams.
- Set your alarm right before bed, even if it is already set for the correct time.
- While you are falling asleep, when all those random thoughts come skittering across your mind, gently introduce one more: "I'm going to be waking up at h:mm AM" and let it go.
My recall needs work too, like I said "one or two dreams" But this method was the difference between "none" and "one or two" for me.
As far as using autosuggestion to remind you to wake up after each dream, it doesn't work too well for me. I've tried it many many times and only once has it worked. It was 2 hours after I had gone to bed, I didn't even think I had gone to sleep, but yet there were some strange thoughts/memories there that I later uncovered to be dreams. I'd bet that I actually wake after my first dream almost every time I try it, but don't realize that I had even gotten to sleep yet and so I forget my dream and go back to bed (and loose the autosuggestion). If it works for you, awesome!

Telling myself to wake up after dreams has worked twice for me, and both times I woke up within the same 15 minute time frame, from 4:30 to 4:45 AM. I've also noticed that dream recall seems to go in cycles, some can last a week, some only a few days, it varies. I'm in somewhat of a rut too, but I'll come out eventually ^_^
I've been having the same problems. Lately the best I could do was Recall 1 small moment of a Dream where I dreamt that an old friend was trying to kiss my Girlfriend. I felt like brutalising him to an agonising Death that much hate it envoked. I remember pulling him away from my girl by his Shoulder but what happened next: God knows. I don't.
And basically all I can remember of my Dreams lately are either tiny shreds like these or more often Nothing at all.
Sometimes I'll wake up with a vivid memory of a Dream I had. But not like I could Describe it in words: Only a feling and Short Impressions of ALOT of dream-scenarios and situations. But these Dream Flashbacks contain so much info in such a Short Flash that before I have the time to dig it up as a memory I can understand and put to words it is gone again.
Slippy. My DrySpells tend to last Really long. I haven't had a Lucid in more than half a year now maybe? Okay maybe some very lowly, not worth mentioning lucid moments. I had sort of agreed to let ot go as it indeed seems to come and go. However there must be a Cause for me sleeping so deeply UnConscious, leavg me no chance to have Lucids or even remember my Dreams properly.
Funny thing is all my Luid and other bizarre memorable dreams come very sporadically and spontaniously, without warning and especially; without TRYING to. I've been having the naturally since youth, none since teenages started and quite a few again since getting re-introduced to lucid Dreaming. there must be some obstacles stopping me from having Lucid or even Memorable Dreams nowadays that WEREN'T present before. What would these be?
If there isn't a practical way of Increasing DreamRecall and DreamAwareness/Clearity, then at least there must be ways of bettering the Lucid and Clearness-conditions. I find myself really in need of finding, sticking with and learning to use ''Methods'' of LD-induction and Dream Recall increasement since I am done waiting for them.

Yeah at times it could be difficult. Like the past week or so I've been having killer recall, unlike Yesterday -.- Stress is not a good thing when you wanna recall thats for sure but hopefully my recalls will come back in time
