I can see the benefits of a 6 day week. Confusing the entire world, causing chaos with computers that are progammed for 7 days and a complete mess up of appointments, times, when we all sleep, etc. All so you can have a nice, equal number.

Id like longer days, so that theory does have some credit, at allowing you to do more. Although people would never adapt to it, body clocks would go nuts. It seems as if day/light has been in our evolution too long, technology may change us, but we always have the human instincts, they never go away.

Trust me, as someone who has worked night shifts, THIS WOULD NEVER WORK. It is damn near impossible go back and forth between sleeping during the day and then sleeping during the night, and when I did for work, I would sleep much longer then I was supposed to. Our bodies are just not made to sleep during the day. You wake up, and feel like shit if you adopt weird schedules like this. I also read that in laboratory cases, diurnal animals that were made to become nocturnal had significantly shorter life spans, which is a major warning sign.

Another stupid assumption is that the day that we would get rid of is Monday, still giving us a 2 day weekend... that would cut 8 hours out of our work-week, which is a really bad idea from a socio-economic standpoint.

      wow thats so strange

but you would have less social contact because of your irregular sleeping schedule... that could make some people insane

erm...but some days you'd be awake in total darkness.
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.

Would suck if you work on the weekend though. Then you wake up on your days off and its always night time. Doesn't matter if you sit around on the computer all day but who wants to go do anything outside when its always dark?

As a positive side though, holidays could be longer. You would also age slower! Well not really but it will take longer than a year for your birthday to come around unless you cut the extra days off the month.

days depend on the revolution of the earth, cant change that can you. Everything would get all messed up so its just retarded and no point discussing it.

I think this would work well for me.... when I'm on vacation and have no set time to wake up, I usually stay up longer than usual and sleep longer then usual, and end up sleeping during the day and waking during the night after a few days. Not fun trying to get back on the schedule, let me tell you.
