that's excellent. They should leave them the way they are and let people pay for their stupidity. And they call Americans stupid.

Lack of vision isn't the same as lack of logic. America is one of the stupidest, ignorant, and arrogant nations. Although it's great, it's pretty stupid.

That's pretty funny about the lampposts. I want to see a picture of somebody walking into a post without the padding.

The hug bit is ridiculous. Schools are inflicting stupider and stupider rules every day, and every teacher and parent becomes more paranoid and tightly wound. It's pathetic. Have you guys read the "School 1977 v. 2007" thread? It's hilarious.

I saw a video of some guy that was going around with a "Free Hugs" sign, and giving people hugs. They banned him from the mall for doing that, and they had to petition.

America's not stupid, the people running it are.

So are the citizens. There's also stupidity in every other country, but Americans are arrogant enough to exemplify it.

      You have two options:

      1. Do your part to help fix it.
      2. Move to Canada.

Is there a way to help fix it? It's the mentality of superiority. I don't see a way to fix it.

I would love to move to Canada, but my family is in Texas, thousands of miles away... I could snowboard a lot though!

I cant seem to find the 1977 school versus 2007 school thread someone have a link to it?

oye, both the lamp post thing and the hug thing are stupid. Its about time schoolboards get use to the fact that Highschool is not only a place of learning in books but also your first steps in to adult life.

Heh, the hugging thing reminds me of when my friend tried to get as many hugs as possible. (she got 69 )

But seriously, that's just plain stupid. A hugging ban? I get hugs from my friends all the time, and it's more like a friendly gesture than an expression of love. And that bitchy school administrator saying shit like "What we're doing here is hoping to help kids understand what's happening" NOTHING's HAPPENING!

      Grrr!

Did I say that all Americans were stupid? I never said that all of anything was stupid.

Of course not everybody is stupid, but there is a majority of idiocy and arrogance, which only exemplifies the idiocy.

      Ok, rules:

      1. No hugging the same person twice (obvious)
      2. You have to know who the person is (can't be just a stranger)
      3. Oh, and yeah, 1 day. 24 hours.
      Go!

We're powerful because the idiots aren't in control and because we have a good system of government, even if it is pretty badly handled.

Ya actually you kinda did say that. You said, "America is one of the stupidest, ignorant, and arrogant nations. Although it's great, it's pretty stupid". A statement like that needs clarification.

In my opinion, the idiocy just gets more scrutiny.

That doesn't imply in any way at all that everybody is stupid.

      idiocracy here we come!
Here are some outdated american laws.

      lol City Laws in Mississippi

-Unnatural intercourse, if both parties voluntarily participate, results in a maximum sentence of 10 years and $10,000.

      What exactly is unnatural intercourse?

-It is illegal for a male to be sexually aroused in public

      In S. Dakota:
-If there are more than 5 Native Americans on your property you may shoot them. (OMG!)

      Illinois
-In Zion, Ill., it is illegal for anyone to give lighted cigars to dogs, cats, and other domesticated animals kept as pets.
      (sorry Triumph)

      Dumb Laws in Arizona
-When being attacked by a criminal or burglar, you may only protect yourself with the same weapon that the other person posseses.

Acts of stupid should contain more videos.

It is when your lack of vision is directly caused by your lack of logic.

Honestly, the entire world needs to stop trying to make life easier for stupid people.
