I saw that on snopes or something. It is actually a real seagull that isn't trained or anything. I don't feel like finding the link though.

if you live in a seaside town,
you'll see this sort of thing all the time
(well, maybe not shoplifting seagulls)
but gulls flying directly at people, swooping in and stealing the sausage out of hotdogs
