Thread: Am I not "SPECIAL" enough?

There have been only a select few that have made it to become a Dream Guide or Moderator in the recent change in the boards. All of them were picked by the moderators and icedawg himself.

Those selected were also chosen due to their time spent on the boards, their contribution, or.. you could say, who has little social life and plenty of time to spend on the boards instead.

As icedawg said, there were many qualified members for the positions and it was a matter of balancing and rationalizing who is best for the positions and what not.

I am kind of discouraged to see so many people upset about all of it.. and it is making me consider relinquishing my position as a moderator in order to state that the selections were not based on a popularity competition or anything of that sort, and that the positions are meaningless; they give us more responsibility, not recognition.

It does bother me that people are upset about it all, and it bothers me even more when I get messages and emails complaining about it to.

Unfortunately, there are just not enough positions to give out to everyone who feels they deserve recognition.

Bah... forget it.. I'm getting sick of all this crap..

I really dont have the time to respont to everyone and I'm not that social. I guess its just a "Higher Recognition" issue.

But I know that you can be the best to be one of these moderators. because I know and seen your threads and the ones you respond to. Well, hope that cheers you up. good luck.

Meh, I got plenty of reasons to whine, but Im not going to...

Even I, the great, didn't get a position...but I got a great sig

O'nus, dont take my thread in the community chat seriously, i meant that entirely jokingly...

IZ, there are members around here that have been here longer and are more active than yourself that did not get picked...its not a popularity contest (as O'nus said)...really, its just more work...personally, if Icedawg had asked me to be a mod I'd've declined (which i know he wont for a couple of...*ahem* past incidents)

There are some people who are actually upset about it - but I guess it's just "he's better than me" kind of upset, and that's bound to happen no matter who got elected to be a mod/dg.
