Thread: Annoyed with the Matrix

um . . . name 3 examples.

I thought the matrix I (the other two where just money makers) was a great film and an even greater philosophy. It's to bad people blew it out of proportion.

The matrix is a great movie. But I agree that people take it to far... So many movies have slo-mo in them, just like games did after max-payne.

And you see those green letters showing up everywhere.

I would give more then three examples but I don't want to specifiy the people who use them in thier post. I don't name names.

why is there a problem with this? To me the matrix was the best mainstream movie to come out that can be easily related to lucid dreaming, all you see is a few sigs and stuff thats not hurting anyone

The question was asked simply becuase there is a large amount of Matrix stuff and it got to a point where I kinda started to roll my eyes when ever it was seen. It made me wonder if anyone else felt the same.

Hate to say it, but I disagree there. The matrix was a good concept, that had an awesome movie based around it. I personally find it fun to think about matrix-like situations, and not just because of the kung-fu fight scenes.

I get what you're saying and I totally agree. AWESOME movies, I can watch them over and over and over and always be entertained. But sometimes it just seems so unoriginal to keep plastering matrix pics and quotes everywhere. And it seems too easy. "Hmmm, I need an avatar or sig. Ok, I'll just google Matrix and see what comes up." Can't we find inspiration from other movies/sources?

Buuuuuuut............if you truly live for the Matrix movies and think everything Matrix related is amazing and can't get enough, then whatever, go for it.

But if you don't feel that way, maybe try to find a movie or quote or something that really means something to you. It took me a while to find anything signature worthy, but when I heard it I just about peed myself. It was exactly what I was looking for. Just gives people that much more of an idea of what you're about when you really personalize things.

No problem. Just for the record, I don't think there was anything wrong with what you posted. You were very clear about what you meant. I think sometimes people only read part of a post or read the entire thing but not even half way through, they're already forming a response regardless of what the rest of the post says. Or they just forget what it said and kind of respond with their initial reaction despite what other information was presented.

You're doing a fine job expressing yourself, keep on posting what's on your mind. You articulated something that was floating around in my brain but didn't manage to come out. I'll keep an eye out and help you if it seems like people aren't getting what you're saying.

PS - Unfortunately, I can't help with the peeing problem. You'll have to figure that one out on your own.

Oy, even Awaken just spouted Matrix shit at me, after I told him what he really wanted to do was pluck everyone's eyes out so that they could see as clearly as he does.
