      ANYONE EVER BEEN TO THAILAND?

      whats up??! i was just wondering if anyone on this site has ever traveled to Thailand. I'm going in a few months, and am really excited about it!! i love to travel, and i think Thailand will be an amazing experience. I can't stop reading about it, and I would love to hear about it from anyone that has been. Lemme know, laterrr : )

      Oh, I am so envious! Thailand would be a great trip, but where I would really like to go is Cambodia to the Angkor region. I could spend weeks wandering around all the old temples!

      i went a couple of years ago, to take care of some personal business. i didn't go to a tourist area, so i think i got a different view than that the usual westerner would get.

      odd things like flash office buildings built right next to tin shacks, there seems to be a great divide in wealth, but the rich and poor don't seem to physically seperate themselves nearly to the same extent as in the west.

      its hot, and it smells, and everything's sun baked to hell. i saw some really pretty stuff and some less so. overall its a neat place. the people there seem down to earth, modest and *real*. and they were really friendly and helpful, english speaking or not, everyone seemed to have a smile....
