Yeah. My personal view is that they should be handing out .50 BMGs to all the cops and putting sandbags in the back of the trucks. Gas is expensive these days. Just yell "stop running" a few times until they get out about half a mile, then blow a hole through the back of their head about the size of a volleyball.

It would probably have been better to shoot him, say, in the leg. You know, rather than run him over like an animal. Stealing purse = maimed? that's not justice, that's some overzealous asshole cop taking the law into his own hands. What could have been in that purse, $100 maybe? That guy was messed up so bad I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up paralyzed from the waist down. No one deserves that, just kill him and eat him or don't harm him at all.

well, they did say the brakes were applied, but the ground was wet from previous rain so it didn't stop. but it didn't look the car tried to stop at all. that's pretty sad.

I like your style. I don't think I'll even so much as jay walk again for fear that you one day may become --or already are-- a cop... Or that you carry a Barret Light 50 around with you...

The problem with carrying around a "Light 50" is in the assumption of the "Light" part. My Armalite is reasonably easy to carry around, but it's not so concealable.

The M82 is just a beast. But it does get noticed out at the range. Especially when people 300m away at the pistol range completely miss the target every time I squeeze within 10 seconds of their shot.

I recently went the other way too, and added a custom competition 6.5mm to my regular shooting (50BMG and .308 civie M24). That little sucker will reach out and ruin your day at ranges the .50 starts straining at. It doesn't pack 900+ grains behind the end-game, but it's amazingly fast and light (14lbs and change). And if you want to drill holes in quarters out at 1/2mi, well, it's there for you...

Sorry for the OT - but to respond:

Jarhead brat. My daddy finished his almost 34 years in as a drill instructor, after mucking about with his medical documents (malaria) so he could still go attend his second war... I was shooting the M24 before I could lift it. So I kinda had an "unfair advantage". Other girls come home and go to ballet. I came home from school and had 3hrs of martial arts, and then a few hours under a gunny that taught sniper school... The boys in school would brag about their new BB gun and I'd quietly snicker knowing I'd have to decide between the 308 and the 30-06 that evening. I started shooting the M82A1/mk1 when I was 9, was given my first one when I was 11.

My skin has taken a greenish tone after reading that, and it's not sickness... You're so lucky! I rarely get to touch firearms, let alone shoot them. Oh well, one day I'll have a pretty respectable armory. I'll just have to make due with airsofts for now.

But I'm not sure why you called me jar-headed.

To get back on topic, though, I'd say that guy got away pretty lucky. It looked like he didn't sustain any real injury, judging by the way he was moving (i.e., that he was moving at all) after he got hit. Don't mess with Texas!
