Quite a few do, but not so much like it's portrayed as.

A casual g'day, is more along the lines of what is the norm, but there's some real "aussie aussies" who'd do the whole gggg'ddaaayyyyy maaateeee.

Well, hopefully soon. I'm applying for that Island Reef job.

I have a chance of moving to Australia... which I'm going to take up on as soon as the time is right.

      How's Surfers Paradise? Ever been?

When I work in the markets I hear it a lot. Not so much amongst the shopkeepers, but there's plenty of arrogant fat guys with sunburnt skin that I'm meant to treat as customers.

G'daaaaayyyyy mate, so how do yah make these. -greasy pie fingers and crumbs-

I've never been. In fact, I don't really go many places outside of the current house that I live in.

If you're a stereotype tourist, surfer's paradise is great.
If you're more into the natural side of Australia. Go to SA/WA, there's heaps of Aboriginal towns around there. I live in outside Melbourne but right down the bottom of Aus (maybe 3 hours from Melbourne) there is this place called Wilsons Promontory, the National Park there is A-ma-zing. One beach there (there's about 5 or more) is called squeaky beach because when you step on the sand it squeaks lol. It's really clean and white. Cool rocks to climb up on etc.

But I believe that if you go to the city areas it's going to be very similar to any other country. Really, how different can buildings be? (Don't answer that, I know they can differ enormously, but my point's still valid)
For thousands of years, human beings had screwed up and and trashed and crapped on this planet, and now history expected me to clean up after everyone.
I have to wash out and flatten my soup cans. And account for every drop of used motor oil. And I have to foot the bill for nuclear waste and buried gasoline tanks and land filled toxic sludge dumped a generation before I was born.
