      Beers Around the World

Beers, ales, lagers etc, what's your favorite?

My all time fav, not just because it tastes almost as good bottled as straight from the tap, is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. If you like that coppery color, and side-of-the-tongue hopsy bite, then this Chico, CA brewed ale might be your thing.

Perhaps Carrabassett Pale Ale is not well known. Aside from that, it's PBR.

From Australia I would have to say that Cooper's Pale Ale is the best I have tasted (what's with all these pale ales eh?). It's perfect for sitting back in the summer and getting shitfaced. Refreshing, without being too watery. The brewing process leaves a yeasty residue in the bottle, so instead of using preservatives it continues to ferment in the bottle, which is kinda cool. Especially when you see the stamp on the bottle that says "best after feb 2006" lol.

A perfect beach beer is Carlton Cold... it's chill-filtered and all the rest, so yeah some people wouldn't like the wateryness of it, but hey it's Australia, it's for drinking in the sun.

      My weapon of choice

      Cannot beat Guinness extra cold..mmmmmmmmmmmm..........beer...

Smooth creamy texture on a cold dark bed of liquid pleasure, served in a pint glass fit for a king. True heaven in a glass to be quaffed at ones will, nothing comes close.

Guinness, sold worldwide, the Irish know how to make a drink.

I'll drink to that! I just had some Guiness last night. Was my first time to drink it from a bottle though (but I still poured it into a frozen pint glass, with a perfect 1cm head ).

Then I had a dark german lager I'd never tried before. Was different, but worth mentioning. It's called Köstritzer Schwarzbier. It was very dark and velvety, but not really bitter. I coulod drink it once in a while.

      >> Guinness extra cold

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THAT POOR BEER?!?!

      Guinness - room temp, please.

      Or Watney's Red Barrel Stout.

Or Chimay Premiere when I'm feeling more esoteric.
Again - room-temp. In a large glass to let it breathe.

My favourite beer is brewed in my home town of Nelson, New Zealand! Lucky me!
It's also the first fully organic beer in Australasia! Mmmmm tasty.
The name of this beer is Founders, and it comes in 4 different styles. (Long Black, Tall Blonde, Red Head, Generation Ale).

And I can get freshly brewed stuff straight from the source, which is only 2 minutes drive from my house! Fuck Yeah!

agreed! I'll probably have guiness for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I'm older, and snack on something that's tasty but not to filling:

That's right, ice cold, refreshing, delicious anchor steam beer. It'll getcha drunk.
