Muahahaha....

Theres no interaction yet or anything. You'll just have to sit back and watch as the little cells live out their pitifully short and meaningless lives. The colored circles are the cells, the green blobs are food and the red pentagons are enemies.

The awesome thing about the cells is that they evolve. Every time a new cell is born, it inherits the traits of it's parent plus a bit of randomization. Following natural selection, the weak die off and the strong remain. Thus, they become better and stronger =O

If they all die off at the start, just refresh the page.

Take that, creationists!

This is just an aesthetic suggestion. I don't like how the food fades as it gets eaten. It would be better if it shrunk (shrank?). An then:

If foodheight = 1 pixel and foodwidth = 1 pixel then
delete food

Of course, I don't know how to program in flash, but you get the idea.

let us program our own custom cells, and let us put on alot of little red hexagons to anilate the little buggers

Free, one step ahead of ya. The version I have now (V1 is done, it's just too big width-wise >.<) and I have to go out to work right now. You guys'll see it later when I have time to trim it down a little.

If you want to contribute though, ideas, commentary and art are both feasible and appreciated. I can (and would probably prefer to..) do the coding (control freak <3).

If I can make it really awesome by V2, I might be able to get myself some moneh for it =O

Ive left mine running for like 4 hours so far, and no one has died out yet!

I'm going to leave it on all night to see if it will over populate.

does stomach ever go down? cause all of my cells have it in the 100's now.

Actually I've noticed a problem, some of the "cells" become too powerful for the enemies, if you leave it long enough they all do and then the screen starts getting crowded.

I guess overpopulation might kick in after a while but I haven't found out yet.

Wow, I just played it, and in less than a minute, everything died. Red pentagon overload. No new species are appearing. The screen is just getting flooded with food and evil red pentagons.

I put a soft-ish cap in to prevent the cells from simply multiplying like crazy past a certain point (and they would, trust me.. they had a habit of growing so explosively they kept crashing flash.. XD)

Anyhow, heres v1. If you have an NG account, Leave it a review with a high score and I might just get the underdog award (which means, the highest difference in review score vs. flash score) because the general score will get voted down by the average user. If I get that, it means a LOT of views and stuff and awesomeness so... <3

Best way to put it is that they are asexual. In other words, every so often another cell will just pop out XD

The thing that controls it is a birthrate variable that each cell has which itself. IF that number is high, the cell has a high chance to give birth =)
