This sort of thing happened to me not long ago. I was saying that Jews are not a race, while two other guys were determined to prove me wrong.

They are a group yes, but saying that they are a race is like calling christians a race, and muslims a race, because they are a group that follows a religion.

I can't take a debate??? Sheesh... I always debate, I just don't want everything that I say to be controversial... Which brings me to my next point... People usually take what I say and re say it in some sort of insulting way... I said that people are always controversial about what I say... 27 says I can't take a debate... You take offence at nothing. That's why you feel provoked. I didn't say "NightLife can't take a debate". I said "If [and only if] you [meaning anyone] can't take a debate, stay off internet forums". Look at what someone says before you take it as an insult.

Hmm... but still. Do you call chritians a race? No. So, how's that different for Jews?

The original Jews, as in the race of Jews, are also known as the Sons of Israel. That's the Jewish race. These people are Jew by blood. Anyone else who follows Judaism, but is not a Son of Israel is a Jew by faith.
