Thread: DV Florida Meet-Up: 2010

I am envious of you people and your transportation methods.

Hmmm, this sounds a really good idea, me and CC were actually talking about how cool an idea this would be about a month ago, I never thought someone would organise it.

But hell, I don't even know what is happening with me next year, what with university and all. And I don't know if flying over to America would interrupt anything like that. Nor do I know if I will have the money.

But if I end up being able to go (i.e. time and money) I would definitely come along.

EDIT: oh wait, I just realised I wouldn't start Uni till AFTER the summer. Which means all I need to worry about is money.

I might get a wee summer job. I Would be able to tell you guys whether I can come or not at a nearer time. I might not know whether or not until about January or February. I hope that's all right.

Anyway, depending on which week, July would probably work. My extended family usually takes a week-long vacation during July, but that's usually a little later in the month, I believe. Again, we'll see how much money I come back to, but I'm still 70% sure I'm going. We'll definitely have to bring this back up as it draws closer to the date.

Yea this is way to far away from the actual date to be worrying about it.

Just so long as it is kept in mind.

One problem I have which is probably a bigger issue than the money. I'm quite nervous about flying alone. I will need to get over that. I'm not talking about the actual flight, it's the organization and stuff, and also once I'm at America, the place is just totally alien to me. I have never gone to another country alone.

But I'm sure I would be fine.

I am prolly off to world next summer too, but I doubt my road will cross the States I am probable more on the Far-East and Africa.

It's weird but I do have a friend who lives right by Daytona Beach :O

But it's not like I could even go. I am already going to Germany in January. You guys have fun though!

You had damn sure better, if there's any way whatsoever that you can. I would say it'd save me a trip to Australia, but I'm going to make that one anyway. It'll be a few years, however.

Also, as far as lodging is concerned, there are a lot of very inexpensive hotels around the Daytona area. I doubt that anybody or any group would have a hard time finding a place to stay.
