I graduated from highschool in 1982, and I still think about this all the time. I'd love to go back and do it "better." I wouldn't mind a re-do on a lot of my childhood outside of school as well.
Lately, I've been wondering, what if I went through High School again but with the experience and personality I have today.
God, what a monumental difference It would be for me..
What about you guys, would you ever wanna re-do high school and why? what would you change or do differently?
I honestly would of done EVERYTHING differently, completely.
I can't even begin to list what I would do differently, too much to write, I will edit this post later and maybe write what I'd change.

i hated high school. i dont want to go back. ever. Its just so boring you end up wanting to pull out all of your hair by 2nd period. Except for lunch. Thats when me and all my friends would go downstairs and play poker![]()

Elaborate a bit
I graduated in 2004, so it hasn't been that long really, I didn't enjoy high school as much as i should of.
I was quiet shy and I would never stay afterschool to goto any activities or anything like that, I always seemed to like RUSH home for some reason, I do that at work but thats to beat the traffic and get home and have a drink
But yea, I wish I could re-live high school again and make all those wrongs rights.
I would definately been more outgoing, less shy, more upfront and more social, I might of even come out and told people I was bi so that I could get that out of the way early on and by now I would of been fully accepted in my family..
anyways but yea, I miss the whole no worries in the world about school.
Really, we had it EASY as hell, wakeup, goto school, sit around for 9 hours and then go home and do 1 hour of homework maybe, and spend the rest of the day with friends, doesn't get much easier then that.
I've thought about this recently too, especially after a speech I gave at a nearby high school. Not sure if I've decided yet. It's funny how you don't really see people for what they are until you're older than them.
I would love to redo college, though... not because there's something I want to change, but just because I feel like I haven't been here long enough (I graduate in May).![]()

Not yet, but I'll let you know.

Yeah, I would try to be more outgoing and more fun to be around.
I know how you feel. I was ready to be done with homework and all that jazz, but I enjoyed going to class and meeting my best friends in the world. It's time for another trip to Montana, but their Spring Break kind of threw a kink in my plans of going up there for my birthday.
Anyway, as for going back to high school, given the choice, I wouldn't do it. I just don't relish the thought of sitting in one building for 8 hours with a short lunch break in between.... granted, that's kind of like work, only I didn't get paid. While my social life didn't pick up until my senior year (and I loved my senior year), "school" came easy to me. I was the brown-noser of my class and got away with a lot as far as homework-related stuff.
I found homework boring and a waste of my time, and so I just didn't do it. There were a number of classes that I was failing, but with one exception in which I received a C, I passed them all with at least a B after turning assignments in late.
More or less, I wouldn't have changed a thing about high school, except to have been less lazy. I sure had some stressful moments facing the possibility of an F. The only thing I would have changed if I'd had time would have been to take all 4 years of Spanish that they offered. I would have received college credit for the 4th year class and have had less frustration with college Spanish classes if I'd gone that route... But then Michael, Alex, and I wouldn't have been able to amuse each other in Spanish 301![]()

I'm in highschool, so I get to go back tomorrow.
I win, all you wishers.
Tell me how you guys would do it differently? Unless it's just going to be the same old, "Work hard, make good grades, other stuff doesn't matter."
I already do the first two.![]()
NO. High school was the most stagnant, unproductive period of my life, and should rightfully be erased from my memory. I'm not giving up my adult powers for anything.

I'm understanding the phrase "High School was the best years of my life, but I'd never want to do it again."
Frankly I can't wait to get out of high school, but I have to say, the amount of bullshit drama makes things interesting. With all the He Said, She said, all the "I LOVE YOU!" and other relationship crap, with all the other typical high school drama, it makes it easy to screw with people, which is incredibly fun.
Its so easy to toy with and manipulate people, you can turn near anyone into a puppet. Its the greatest thing ever. That, and the drama is just extremely fun. It is so entertaining and generates oh so many laughs.
But I'd like to get the hell out and move on with my life.

Not really. High school was much too boring for me. If I had the chance to relive the incompetence of my classmates, I simply wouldn't.

Ahh high school, still in it. I love it, really.
So, what would have you guys done differently?

Hey, if you guys want to experience high school all over again, I'd be more than happy to e-mail you my forty physics problems, biology lab and stats chapter! All for the low, low price of $19.99, you can relive your high school years!
I should really be doing all of that, shouldn't I?
*Goes back to juggling and watching tv*
I graduate in May tooI want four more years of college.
As for high school, I liked high school, I think it went fine the way it did so I wouldn't go back. I might go back to high school if I could stay above 21![]()
I wouldn't want to redo high school in its entirety - but I do miss the basketball conditioning and practices though.
If I could do it differently, I would probably be more outgoing and confident. More talkative and social maybe. And more of a flirt.![]()
I'm in my senior year of high school now, and I'm already dreading graduation. Not because I'm scared for the outside world or anything, but this year has been the best of my life. I love every aspect of high school.
...and I don't wanna leave!
Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.
I wish I could go back as well.
And if I had wheels, I'd be a wagon.

Resurrection lol. Sorry I was Google searching if people would go back to high school, and what were the odds the dreamviews popped up. I was watching the movie prom, lol, and it just made me wish I could go back. I know the movie over exaggerates high school, but I would love to do things different, and not go to an all guys school. I mean it wasn't that bad, but I defiantly didnt get the typical experience. Well I guess there really isn't a typical experience, but I would have joined a lot more things and done more things. Well im in my 4th year of community college and I still need to transfer to a four year college, so I still have the future ahead of me. I screwed up these past few years, but im going to change things.

I'd tell a lot more peole to fuck off than i did the first time.. That's probably the only change i'd make.
I never want to go back. Ever. I really don't get what people think is so great about high school. The sooner it's over with, the better. Even if I tried to do things differently, it wouldn't make it any more worthwhile.

I absolutely would NEVER want to go back. I was a shy little mouse who was constantly bullied. I LOATHED school, so I dropped out in the 11th grade. I took my GED a few years later and I've had NO regrets about my decision.
But I'm just a stay-at-home mom. If I had ever aspired to more, I probably would have been screwed.

Yea its complete bullshit how some people are treated in high school. I'll admit that in middle school I bullied someone a couple times, but I apologized for what I did. But my high school was pretty laid back and there wasn't too much bullying from what I saw. I mean I saw a few people get made fun of, but they didnt really give a shit. Its funny how popularity and all that shit goes out the door once high school is over. People think there hot shit in high school, but that changes. But maybe not for everyone. I just wish I had gone to a public high school and that I was a more outgoing like I was in middle school.

High school is a shark tank; I'm in grade 11 and just want to be done with the place. It's disgusting how people are treated school; I'm often subjected to bullying because I'm much more of a thinker than anyone else and use my head more to reason things out. I don't buy into things as most of the people in my class do, and I'm one of three people who listens to rock, the only one who likes metal. People think that's wierd.
The result? I've been called a sl**, wh***, and worse terms behind my back, and I've even been grabbed by the arm. I'm much more confident speaking with adults because of this; people at my school just don't seem to have the lightbulb in their head turned on.
I couldn't really change this even if I wanted to, unfortunately.

I would love to go back to high school, but I wouldn't do anything differently.
I would love to go back to high school, just cuz things were more relaxed back then, not that much stress.
I've notice a pattern. When i was in kindergarden, I didn't really like it. I didn't hate it either, but it just wasn't that great. When i got into elementary school I got homework, more pressure and I though "if I could go back to kindergarden, everything would be great". Then, as i got into higher degrees of studies it kind of followed the same patter. "oh, if I only could go back...". It made me realise that after all I'm not in such a bad seat at the moment. When I get old, let's say 70 I will be sitting there, shaking with parkinson or whatever and think "oh, if I only could get back..."
