      Favorite Pistol Style!

I only chose major pistol styles, or ones that were major in thier time. It also had alot to do with massive operational/shooting style differences, so if you feel your favorite style is not on the list it will likely fit into one of these handgun families.

The oldschool blackpowder pistols come second on the list.

I went with modern/semi-auto style. From Berrettas, to Glocks, to Desert Eagles. I just love modern pistols (aside from the fact that they are less reliable than revolvers). They are much less cumbersome than shotguns and machine guns, and I couldn't see myself in a situation where I would just need that kind of stopping power. I love the way the modern pistols operate, with the recoil kicking the slide back and spitting the shell out the side of the housing.

I was torn between picking this category and the machine guns, but the Glock 18 was in the other. That's one of my favorite pistols. Even though it's fully automatic, I would have put it more in the category with the pistols, because it's actually just a pistol with a fully automatic setting.

      Fuckin pimp gun, though.

The only thing I shoot are hot loads all over urryones moms.

We should get rid of all guns and go back to melee weaponry.
Any bitch can fire a gun. Beating or stabbing your opponent to death, or defeating them in unarmed combat, is a true test of your mettle.

Nah, I didn't forget about them. But aren't those more modern features? Did they have them back when those guns were modeled? Or are they universal?

I just thought they were on newer revolvers.

If it was a one-on-one gunfight, i'd probally just go with the good ol .45 berreta......

quick, clean and to the point

or I can get dirty with a mossberg shotty, and really make em feel some pain

      or preferably both :p

modern guns own, though they may jam..those older guns just aren't stylish enough for me, even if they are powerful as fuck

but if i want a gun with power and pretty good accuracy, .38 snub nose FTW.

at the least, I bet theres some gunsmith out there who's rigged up something, but i'm not sure if they work on the old school guns or not.

Glock tip reads: "You're not taking down a squad with this either. Not as much stopping power as a revolver."

Revolvers are challenging, by the way. Consider firing accurate shots from the waistline (which is entirely possible to do consistently). You'd draw your gun faster than anyone using a modern pistol.

      And DIS

      [Edit]

I have also assembled the following graph to illustrate the the drawbacks of a long draw time.

That's what .45's and .50's are for. Glocks, alone, may not have the stopping power, but they are working on it, and there are plenty of other modern semis that do.

Believe me, I'm taking nothing away from revolvers. I'm aware of their advantages just as much as their drawbacks. Believe it or not, my grandfather is actually a quickdraw, and he's fast. (I haven't seen him draw in years, but I'm sure he still has it. Maybe I can get some video of him one of these weekends). I know of the draw-time differences, but different situations call for different hardware. Like I said, if you encounter two or three men, and there are absolutely no obstacles around you for cover, those revolvers (the older ones, anyway) are ideal. But if you and your squad ever get into it with another and the shit hits the fan, realistically, you're going to be at a huge disadvantage if you are using the older pieces and your opponents have Berettas.

      Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.

Due to much berating and personal preference, I decided to add these two handguns to the equation.

Addition Number 1- OR (a more advanced rendition, with less terrorists and more communists)

      Addition Number 2-
