I think a lot of you have by now heard of the somewhat unofficial policy we have recently adapted here at Dreamviews, regarding attention-seeking, "I'm Leaving DV Forever!" threads. In short, if you make one of these threads for no better reason than to garner attention and see how many members will tell you not to go, you will be summarily banned from the forums. The same goes for joking imitation threads, as was the fad awhile back. It may or may not be a permanent banishment, but chances are good it will be.

This brings me to the purpose of this thread.

If you are leaving DV, taking an extended absence, or heading out of town for a week and just want to let folks know, post here! This eliminates thread clutter, and keeps it all in one easily located place. Whether you're leaving DV for a week, a year, or forever (silly goose), if you want to let the rest of the members know so they don't miss you, post here.

In addition, if you are returning from a trip or extensive period of inactivity, you are more than welcome to notify the community of your return in this thread.

This does not proclude individual threads proclaiming that you're headed to Florida or Spain for a week, especially if you want to show off vacation pics when you get back. By all means, make a thread to brag about your beach vacation! But if you just want to drop us a note saying you won't be around for a bit, post it here instead of making a new thread.

A final note: Just remember: if you feel compelled to make a thread for the sole purpose of getting attention or telling people how much you hate DV and that you're out for good, we the staff will gladly make your wish come true by banning your account, and the thread will be removed on sight.

We're not trying to be tyrants here, but this kind of behavior is just not welcome.

I'm leaving for a while. The time frame could range from weeks to many months. My dear friends...I love you all, you know who you are. If I get a chance, I'll check back here from time to time though. This is my (temporary) farewell post.

Hello.
I became obsessed with this forum just about a month ago and now i realize that the reason I can't have LDs, is because I am too excited about having them so therefor i cant concentrate enough. That is mostly because i read alot of the cool threads on things to do in lucids and get excited and cant fall asleep at night, So what im doing is taking a small break from Dream Views. I also think that this is some other of you guys who have trouble with lucid dreaming and falling asleep problems.
