"Halloween" is a contraction of "All Hallows Eve" or something like that, but Celtic or German phrasing, I think. So yeah, you can stick an apostrophe in there for a more old-timey feel.

Hallowe'en is the correct form of the word; many people leave out the apostrophe because THEY SUCK.
