Help with animated GIF
can someone give me a hand? i'd like to use the image of the machine-gun cat in my signature as an avatar, but the dimensions are too big. i've got photoshop CS, but apparently it can't handle animated GIFs. it just tells me that i can only view one frame at a time, and that if i save over it i will lose data. so can someone who knows what they're doing please take my machine-gun cat image from my signature and resize it to 130 pixels wide? thanks!
also, anyone who's interested, please note my username is no longer kage23; it is now just kage.

Well, I could resize it for you but unfortunately I'm turning off the PC this instant after writing this post and besides, it's always best to learn things yourself so open up Photoshop and use File -> Edit in Image Ready.
That'll open up the Image Ready application, which looks and functions similar to Photoshop but allows to open and edit animated image formats.
Image Ready always comes with Photoshop but not everyone that uses Photoshop seem to know about it.
At any rate, you'll be able to use it to resize the image and then File -> Save Optimized As... or however it is.
Good luck.

thanks, merlock! as you can see, it worked.
you're right that it's better to learn things for oneself. i would say that i'm fairly proficient in photoshop, but this is the first time i've ever used imageready. do you have any idea why they are two separate applications? why don't they just integrate all the stuff offered in imageready into photoshop?
