This would have made a good poll.

With complete control over your emotions and thoughts, allowing you to judge and think clearly in any situation, avoid negative emotions, feel balanced and see life how it really is, quieten the inner voice and maintain a calmness throughout any situation unless otherwise needed.
Or
Accept life and the human mind as it is and feel every bump, hill and dip on the emotional rollercoaster of life. To fully and emotionally integrate with life, to cry, laugh, feel depressed, experience bliss and ecstasy aswell as envy and lust.

Well I'd like to try A out for a while. Like a vulcan.
IMO This:
and this:feel balanced and see life how it really is
are the same thing, and lead to this:Accept life and the human mind as it is and feel every bump, hill and dip on the emotional rollercoaster of life.
If you see life as it really is in scenario one, you cannot count out the emotional experience in scenario two; and if you see that as it truly is, you will know that emotions are an internal creation, therefore "control" will naturally follow if one is aware.complete control over your emotions and thoughts, allowing you to judge and think clearly in any situation, avoid negative emotions
This I think is a contradiction. If you were to fully integrate with your emotions, you would not be you anymore...but instead you would be an addict to everything. You would smoke, drink, snort, sleep all day, eat too much, etc, etc. You would in fact be a slave of desire. To integrate with "life" as you put it would actually mean to understand it first, which I believe refers back to my first point. To fully and emotionally integrate with life, to cry, laugh, feel depressed, experience bliss and ecstasy aswell as envy and lust.
All ridiculous analysis aside, I also think you meant "control" like Good old Mr. Spock, which is not really control but supression; which is humanly impossible; at least for any duration without severe health consequences.
Okay, yeah I'll shut up now.

B for me.
Thanks for the analysis Never,
I think most people understand what I mean, Ill rewrite the scenarios below just for the fastidious among us :p :
A: successfully gain a high degree of control over ones emotions (To the point where we have very little auto emotional response)
B: Be emotional
I understand that just as nobody would completely give in to emotions (you usually have some control), nobody would be able to 'completely' control them either. It is however very possible to get a high degree of control over emotions.
Good question.
I would choose A, I guess I can still enjoy that. If not, I can just take certain drugs to get some controlled emotions/fun/roller-coaster-of-life stuff.
