Reply With QuoteI just had to get glasses, man it's great to see properly again. I had no idea how bad my eye sight was until I tried them on. I only need to use them for close up work, which is what I mainly do. I went to see the optometrist because I kept getting watery eyes if I concentrated to long focusing on something. When I got them I saw crisp lines again I had got so use to they way I had been seeing that I forgot how crisp things can be.

finally, I went to get contacts today. I'm wearing a trial pair right now but I should get some in a few weeks, along with a pair of (GASP) glasses. they make me look so S-M-R-T
but yeah everything is so clear and vivid and it's like a lucid dream +sigh+

glad you like it...thats how i felt when i first got contacts after about 5 years of glasses...everything's so vivid and makes you more aware

I am reminded of a Seinfeld monologe about how he thought it was ridiculous that people "looked smarter" with glasses on....really great stuff. I'm gonna try and find it so I can post it

I love my contacts... particularly since they're colored. However, I've worn them for several years and I can't go a day without wearing them now. It's nice being able to wear sunglasses, though and have excellent periforal (sp?) vision.
