Jesus... It's in the high eighties/low ninties here and I'm read to kill myself. I'd blister where you're at. But, hey, at least it's a dry heat. The worst thing here is that it get so damned humid.

you know what? I wish it were 100f here right now. As long as we could get rid of this damn humidity.
seriously I was working today, and it was cloudy and dark. Maybe 70 degrees. and I was permanently drenched in sweat. Every time I wiped my brow it would immediately resaturate. And every time I breathed in I felt like the air was liquid. I would take texas, arizona, or california weather over Mass weather today without a second thought.

That's the thing about heat- it isn't all that bad by itself. 100 with NO water in the air is bearable. But, high eighties with lots of humidity is pure hell. And- how about that?- That's EXACTLY what New Hampshire is like during the summer.
Thank GOD for central air!
mmmI went home from work early because the humidity was so thick that it was kind of raining, kind of just wet. Anyway I've been in central air ever since and it's heavenly.

Perhaps its time to do another complaint-filled, Alabama rant.
My hair is bending as the humidity is quite insane.
The hair on my leg? Screaming in agony. I think I can feel my entire leg bending...
My metabolism is that of a hyperactive rodent on energy drink. I sweat my ass off anywhere, anyday, on anything. It looks like I wet my bed everynight, either that or the puddle looks like a crime scene.
I can only sympathize. Also, I'm growing dizzy because there's an elephant of a mosquitoe on my back sucking my life away. I should probably do something about it before it kills again.
aw man I can only imagine. Last night my hair was sticking to my neck it was soo baaaaaad. There's no escape from humidity either. It's just as bad in the shade or in the breeze of a fan. You need air conditioning or a pool.

Dallas is crazy humid
not as bad as Houston or some of those big lake states...but in August, 100 will be the low and that's WITHOUT the heat index
so I haven't lost the pity party yet!![]()
Now, i'm on the coast in Los Osos, Cali...and its sunny, 70 degrees, with a slight breeze...., and a huge ocean out my porch to go surf and cool off in....
i feel privaleged...and i empathize with you Ophelia...i took 17 year of humidity...and i said NO MORE.

Yeah, when I saw the 'Check it out', I was thinking "But wait, I thought we couldn't post pornographic pictures in a topic, do why would a moderator be doing this? Weather? Oh....snap."
I grew up in Italy, possibly the most mild place I know, and I'd probably kill to get to go back again. When we came back here, it was just a sneaky reminder from hell just what I'm missing when I'm broiling in Alabama.
AZ is very dry though. Dallas's humidity is what sucks.Originally posted by TygrHawk

I can't say I've suffered too much though. During the day I've been at work and there's AC and at night I turn the AC up in the house for a while until the day heat fades.

i live in houston, sometimes whenever i need to go to work or w/e in the mornings, i have to put my windshield wipers on so i can actually see the road. the humidity makes the windows fog up as soon as it's wiped away. there are also times during the winter where you can go outside in shorts and sleeveless shirts when you can clearly see your breath, because the humidity makes it feel so warm.Originally posted by OpheliaBlue

you guys are lame any one that lives in the type of climate i do will know what i am going to say ....
it goes from being -30 in the winter to 120 in the summer and then it could be the middle of winter and it will be 90 one day and the next 3 feet of snow
or itt will be summer at 100 and then by after noon its snowing and then i is sunny again
put that in your pipe and smoke it
you can't do that on the internet!.... wait yes you can do it again!

:shoofa shoofa:

So, where is this?

global warming hasn't gotten THAT bad yet

I couldn't handle humidity. We're starting to have a few summers getting up to 118F, which is ok because it's dry as a bone. Only drawback to this is the bushfires that happen when everything has dried out and just waiting for a spark.
One of the towns up north in South Australia - Coober Pedy - regularly gets temperatures 120+ which is crazy... All the people there build their houses underground which is quite a smart thing to do I believe.
My cousin lived in dallas.
not anymore, he moved to japan to hide from the police.
haha.
sorry. =
You guys suck.
it was like that in england last week, eighty degrees, cloudy and RAINING!!
But you couldn't move without sweating...eww.

Yeah, I know. I've visited places like Florida in the summer when the humidity approached 100%. However, it's not always that dry here. We are in our "monsoon season" right now, so the humidity is higher than you might think. But I am fully aware that it's never as bad as many other places. Choose your poison, I guess.Originally posted by Squall

What I can't understand is that all of the news networks around here are jumping for joy when it's high eighties with opressive humidity, and go insane when it's 30 degress with snow. I don't know about everyone else, but I'd be perfectly happy with one month of summer and 11 of winter.
oh man, i'd have to kill myself! i'd be MUCH happier with one month of winter and 11 of summer! (but maybe that's because where i live right now winters get down into the -20s fahrenheit. that's like -30C, for all you metric-types.)Originally posted by FreshBrains
