i kinda thought that it would be cool if this site hade it's own chat room where we could all talk in real time.
i support your idea and think it would help everyone get to know each other better

Well, this has been discussed many times before, but no one has volunteered to organize it.

Plus, many members on the site are from different areas around the world, so the time zone problem would be big.

By the way, i'm moving this to the Lounge.

This idea wouldn't work very well. I think the forum operates perfectly well as it is and there's no real need for a chatroom, and since none of us have access to a time machine at the moment I'm afraid it probably wouldn't work, or you'd just get a bunch of people from one country at any given time.

Similar suggestions like this have been disccused, what, 12 times now, and each time we've (ie: most people) ended up with "no."

Feel free to go ahead and make one if you really think a chatroom is a ground-breaking idea, though.

yeah it's been discussed. maybe at 2000 members we need more active people to have something like that take off. it's a good idea, we just need to expand so we can get some use out of it.

well i think hurlo thumbro has a great idea with adden a chatroom on... im sure i could be done right?... and as for the time delay... thats not a very good reason not to.... as im looking the currant stats

In total 614 users have visited this forum today :: 105 Registered, 3 Hidden and 506 Guests , 59 of them within the last hour.

and with those numbers! im sure there are going to be at least 2 people on at the same time any lil bit helps ya know... and after we get the feel for it..... we could even work out the time zones and set up certain times to meet im sure there's somone out there smart enough to do the math...(wouldnt be me though.... i suck at math) and even still.... if we didnt get the time zones figured out having a chatroom could do nothing bad... so i say.... why not try it?

cause that would pretty much end up in people not posting, but rather being in the chat?

ok... tell me this truthbearer.... is it better for one to follow the norm and keep learning at the currant rate... not advancing but simply staying on the same cource for the sake of tradition?

I say if there is the slightist chance that we could continue to progress through the use of real time communication then why not try?.....
And i dought u would have to worry about the stoppage of posting.... becouse as u have mentioned there is the time difference and is still an exelent way to commune...

but!... with the implementation of a chatroom we could have REAL conversations, making it alot ezery to get to know each other on a more personal level, which i believe would make the transition for newbs alot ezer... and helping the newbs helps further the expantion of awarenes...for this site and for lucid dreaming...

People come on this site at first and see all this reading.... its all so mechanical so un-human..... dont get me wrong its a great way to relay messaging but knowing there is another person on the other side, making these experiances so much more exiting and in-the-moment......................................

but then again I'm prolly completely wrong after all what do i know im just a newb..... and i gotta admit... this pirate Rp is pretty awesome... better than most real times ive read.... (btw, why did u guys quit it?)........ANYWAY..... these are just my thoughts and the real time thing was just a suggestion, thanx for listenin.

Problem is that in a forum one can think about their response and edit it as they wish, etc so that they can really give out some great info to the reader. In a chat, if you don't reply fast enough then the other person gets impatient.

Also, when it is through a forum, everyone that joins after that can still read that thread, but people that join the chat won't see what was said before them, so we would have to explain things over and over and over, and not be able to move to a new topic and then people will get bored of hearing the same answers 200 times and leave, or post questions that won't get the attention they deserve, due to the fact that 10 other people are asking questions at the same time.

As you can see, it might be kind of chaotic...but then again it could work. Either way, IMO, we have it pretty well established now, and I think you can learn more from browsing the boards and searching for topics, than you can in a chat. Any quick answers you might need, just try to contact someone that has signed up for the lucid hotline in the Newbie Zone.

well isnt it obviose?..... i mean the whole object of the agent virus was to destroy everything and make it just like it?.... hitlers perfect race (blonde hair blue eyes)..... the agents all being the same (suit,tie,glasses)........ basicly genecide either way..... the idea of making everything eqaul is pretty much communist....thus..... my conclusion... the agents are hitler.. neo is moses the one chosen by god.. the oracle... is sent out to set his people free...... so i guess it would be closer to the bible than hitler..... but either way..... it all comes down to comunism.....ok...so i drifted alot there... and it makes no sence now, but im sure if u filter out all the useless data u could find some logic in what i was saying........what am i saying.... im to damn sleepy ta make any sence right now... gnight...lol

I set up a channel in irc really quickly in irc.chatcircuit.com #dreamviews

When you select your server in options select Chatcircuit.
Connect to it.
Type /msg nickserv register "nickname" "password" obviously replacing nickname and password with a nickname and password, and taking off the "s.
When you close mirc and reopen it after you have registered a nickname, type /msg nickserv identify "yourpasswordhere" without the quotes. ("s )

I hope I'm not over stepping my bounds or anything because I'm new here, but if anyone wants to come and your a regular here you can have @. I think it would be cool to just have discussions and stuff, if the people who run the website want me to take it down I will.

ok......well i went there to DL mirc........ but it said it costs 20 bucks.... and im cheap lol........why not use somthin free like yahoo,msn,global,aim etc?

Dont worry just download it, after 30 days all it does is say "your copy has expired click here to register, and it blinks 3 times and then you can press continue and your in, its like a never ending trial you just have to put up with a little bs after 30 days, but its only like a 2 seconds wait

I think perhaps a little disclaimer like "this chatroom isn't administired by anybody from Dreamviews so enter at your own risk and don't bug us about it" is in order, unless of course the Dreamviews admins actually adopt it into Dreamviews and moderate it.

If the dreamviews admins want they can take it over, Im not sure how to give then ownership in charcircuit, but I can look it up, really only if people are intrested and start to come eh?

well he is right coldetish... its you do need admin consent before labeling a chatroom after tha site... jus name it lucid dreams... or somthing like that then there wont be no... big contravercy over it...... that way... people that wanna come can... and those that dont, dont gotta worry about it... anyway i dont see why its such a big deal myself... but then again i dont got much say couse imma nooB so er... jus scrap the whole thing before this blows way out of perportion... maybe we can talk to the admin icedawg about it and see what he thinks... then maybe they'll jus add a chatroom... or we will know ta give up on it.

Ok let me explain it to you again.... maybe a little slower so you can conprehind it without me feeding it to you with a spoon....

hitler.... had this big idea.... he would kill all the jews, all the gypsees, all the sick, he would make a super race a "perfect" race (blonde hair, blue eyes,etc) all alike and all equall he would make a race he thought would be better without the sickness without the flaws...

agent smith... assimilated everything, and turned everything into more of himself (suit and glasses)... becouse everything else is "flawed", he to tried to make a perfect race... one consisting only of him... becouse everything else was flawed

then i got things mixed up, and thought also about the bible

neo was sent by the oracle to free the people of zion from the opression of "whatever those things were that kept attacking there city"

moses from the christian bible... was sent by "God" to free the jewish people from the tyranny of the pharoah

and with gifts given to them... or revealed gifts within them by the omnipitant one of there storyline, saved there people

moses parted the waters, and neo used his matrix powers...
