Thread: If Its The Lounge Where People Can Talk About Anything

Well I don't know who closed your thread...it seems pretty harmless to make a post asking if there are any potheads here. I think that whoever closed it was just worried that it would be another thread about pot...which if you did a search...you'd know we have alot of those types of threads already...and it is somewhat discouraged to talk about drugs when not in the context of lucid dreaming.

Yes freedom of speech and all that...but this is also a privately owned and run forum, so we all have to respect their wishes.

Okay, NightmareOnElmStreet, to be completely candid:

We're not exactly sure yet, exactly what the forum's policy is on discussion relating to ILLEGAL substances - this is something which still has not been fully decided on by the forum's administration, and is being discussed.

However, until the management of this forum arrives at a decision, it might be a good idea to follow the following general guideline:

Dream-related discussions which include and involve references to, and light discussion of, illegal substances will be tolerated as long as that discussion does not advocate or encourage the use of illegal drugs.

However, if you go beyond this level of discussion, you're treading on shaky ground.

EDIT: As for free speech - as Nina said, this forum IS privately owned and run. Think of it as though by coming here, you're staying at a hotel or crashing at a relative's house - you're a wanted guest, sure, but nevertheless it's not like being on a street sidewalk and there are certain "house rules" which are a condition of your staying at that hotel.
