      I don't know if anybody saw on the BBC News website the other day that we British have invented a jet that will make commercial planes go from London to Sydney in 2 hours! I doubt it will ever take off. Concorde was decomisioned due to the noise, and this one goes several times faster...

      Has anybody read Philip K. Dick's "The Man in the High Castle"? It sounds like the Nazi airships...

      concorde (afaik) was scrapped due to the running costs
      it wasn't financially viable anymore
